Too much clutch pedal travel?

I have a minor issue with the clutch. If I press the pedal to the floor, the clutch fingers will travel too far & start pushing on the disc springs. I have about 2" of free play in the pedal & it's at that point point where I'd have to lift up on the pedal with my foot when released. The only thing I can think of is to place a stop underneath the carpet against the floor to restrict the pedal travel. Has anyone else run into this?

I've got the original Hemi throwout bearing sleeve, which is a little shorter. The bearing is new & matched up in size to the original.

Is there an end of travel stop or adjustment nut/bolt that is missing?  What's the FSM have to say?

wrong Z bar or clutch fork ?

I've seen this happen with some pressure plates; just tape a block of wood to the underside of the pedal to limit its travel...crude but effective.
