Ok hemi guys the pad for the engine block there r only NT 1 that's it side of the block is 11-11-68 why is there only those two letters and only one number ? :brickwall: please help

Actually WT which stands for water test. The #s on the side are the casting date. On the bottom of the block on the pan rail near the back (I can't remember which side) are other #'s that signify assembly date and such. Serial # is on the drivers side of the block on a flat machined near where the dipstick goes in. That should have a car VIN stamped on it (if it was installed into a car at the factory).

If the block was a parts room replacement there would be no serial number, VIN or build stampings.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

The cast date is 11/11/68 why isn't there more numbers on the pad on top by the rotor cap should I check the heads? I'm stumped their should be more numbers on the top pad right ?

Once again, if the block is a parts room replacement there will be no build numbers stamped because it was never assembled into either a short block or complete engine. It won't have a VIN stamped because it was never installed in a car.

The WT water test stamping was done at the foundry, not the engine assembly plant.
