Rear window trim gaps

What kind of spacing am I looking for on the lower rear window corner? I new at this and as you can see I'm having a bit of trouble getting the right angle/ radius at this corner.

Cut out small piece again and trying to get a fit but holy heck! is it getting harder to shape the right contour now. Any one have a similar pic of a completed corner repair?

Are you using a tool called a shrinker/stretcher?  Although these cars weren't perfect from the factory, getting one of these tools might be of help.  If not, it's gonna take some patience to get the right shape.  The way a shrinker/stretcher works is you bend up a 90* angle, and then using the tool, it'll bend the radius that you want.  It'll take some practice to get it right, but should get the results you're looking for.

I suggest putting all the trim parts together and then comparing the corners. You can loose track of the corners radius and how it mates to the other sections and that will change what your adjusting for.

Actually have a set (but from HF) and yes it was a big help when making the whole corner. The trouble is more on the sail panel side of the corner.

Also be sure you have the corner trim pieces installed in the right orientation...hard to tell in your pic but the longer end should install along the bottom of the glass

Yes, found my corner trim pieces and have been using them (I know should of done that in the first place! ) to redo the corner.

Now stuck on how much of a gap should I have between the trim and the corner.

Did not know that! thanks! I couldn't remember how they went back on.  Would that make a difference?

GET IT CLOSE & use dura glass to fill it in

I heard of using dura glass to fill in the imperfections and pinholes after welding, would this be before or after regular body filler?

Longer side of the molding is also vertical on mine as well.
Looks like the molding is oriented correctly, MM.

For a minimal gap, I'd just fill it as well. It's not a gap that's gonna see action like a door gap, I don't think by filling the gap it would give you trouble down the road.
