I'm about to install all exterior emblems on my 71 se.  I don't want to use a product that will ruin the paint if it were to be removed again. I guess it should also be a product that will allow you to remove them without damaging the emblems themselves. In your experience , what will work well ?

I also posted a question about transmission id and rear end # found on a tag.  In that section of this forum. Look for the post from me.... ( brigond )   Please check it out . if you can answer those questions for me also , I would appreciate it.

I used polyurethane. Worked perfect. I am not banking on ever having to remove them again. My :Twocents:

Thanks for all the suggestions, I think I will go with the  double sided tape suggestions. I thinking auto parts store or Hobby/craft store.

Definitely use the 3M, with the red backing tape.
Clean and prep the emblem, if its hollow you may want to fill
The back with jb weld or bondo for more surface
area. Cut off the excess and stick er on there. Try
a heat gun or blow dryer to take em off. Also, ya might
want to buff it first..
