Hemi carbs

Ok guys I have two carter carbs I don't know what they r here's the numbers first h8 4746s second is 3856s if anyone knows it would be a great help I paid 300 bucks for them he said they fit my 426 thanks

They might "fit" your HEMI but they are not the correct carbs for it if your HEMI is a 1969 R/T. I cannot remember the date-codes on mine but they are original and are numbered 4619s and 4621s and are on a 1969 R/T HEMI automatic.  The rear carb on a 4-speed manual car was a 4620s.  These were Carter AFB's also.

Thanks there is an auto behind this hemi and there r to different carbs on it no but it runs thanks for the info

4746S = 1969 426ci Hemi Rear carb  A/T

3856S = 1965 383 4bbl A/T

Never say never with Chrysler but, the 4746s Carter AFB is listed in my book as a 1970 Dodge Charger part number, not a 1969 Charger number. My Charger (1969) comfirms this. The manual and my Charger agree that a 4621s is the correct rear carb for 1969 Charger.



P.S. Whether or not your Charger is a 1970 or 1969 (as in your Avatar) , you got a great deal on those carbs. NOS or As-New rebuilt Hemi carbs are usually a lot more expensive! The front carb (3856s), not being specifically for a 426, is still a good find but should also have a choke assembly on it that a front carb specifically for a 426 did not have.

Ok the other carbs I have are front carb is A then it's jb with the j on top then a line and then b  is under it then 2787s back carb is D84401s these are on my hemi now and the other isD79400s please help desifer thanks
