Forgive the question but, are they off of a 3rd gen or something rare? I know some of the early Cuda/Challenger mirrors can bring big bucks. I think they have a special base and shape.

I don't know if this helps at all but, at a local junkyard $50 bought both dual remote painted racing mirrors off of a Aspen R/T for the Challenger. I know they are not totally correct but, they are in really good shape and I like the dual remote feature.

Yes... even without the mirror.  The mirrors can be bought for $10.00-$20.00.  Any glass shop can cut one out.  The right mirrors are a sought out item since alot of cars did not come with one.

There was a junk yard in Nevada that closed and a bought a few of the Chargers there.  A guy flew out there and took all the right hand mirrors...so go figure.

RD

well i am going to pick them up today.  once I get them, i will tell you how much i paid for both :D

I had so many e body guys that pick up my Charger mirrors and want to buy them for their car.  I always tell them they are for a B body and not an E body.  It irritates me when people sell parts and know what they are, but tell customers otherwise just to make a buck.

The ebody mirrors are different.  I think Ben Snobar is reproducing the E body ones.

Is the backing piece for the mirror missing?

I would not buy them.  Those are for, as I recall, a 73-4 b body -- you can tell because the mounting screws are far apart -- I mistakenly bought one for my 71 before I learned the difference.  But since priices are going up, maybe, just maybe, 20 bucks -- looks like they need a whole lotta work.  Kim

Cool..If you find 73/74 in that condition for $20.00.  Call me...I'll buy them for $50.00 each for the right hand mirrors.  How many can you get that cheap?  I am excited!  I have yet to see a perfect mirror.  I send them out to get chromed.

I actually got the pair for $15.00 to tell you the truth.  I find quite a bit here in Kansas.  I just usually sell them or give them to friends for cheap.  I will look more if you are really needing some.

Yes... let me know.  Sell me the pair?  I have some, but out here they are pitted really bad.

That's a god deal. I paid $125. last year for a pair on ebay. The only thing wrong with them is the drivers glass is scratched up. Buy I dont need that side anyway.

I bought a pair on ebay from a 71 for $65.00 and I thought that was a deal. They need rechromed but I will keep them for a spare even though mine were factory painted body color.

I really, really, REALLY need the passanger side mirror for my 73 Charger.  My base broke where the screws go.  If anyone does happen to have an extra one, I'll be interested, name your price :D

You can contact me at Judhudson@knology.net if you do (my apologies on interrupting this thread)

Aren't the mirrors, including the heads, glass & the bases all being reproduced for all years of A,B & E body? Anyone know if they are any good? I see them all over ebay & in catalogs, but never bother looking into which is which since I'm all set on mirrors.

I've got a few of those things around here. Mine are all in about that shape. I bought a set of sport mirrors off of a '77 Cordoba and put those on my car instead of using the "correct" pieces. Plus, I prefer the painted to the chrome and I only had one painted "correct" mirror. I'm sure wishing now I hadn't sold that 73/74 RH mirror to a guy at Carlisle for $5 because I was feeling sorry for him. I haven't seen him since but, if I do run into him again, that mirror better be on his car. I'd be awfully disappointed in a fellow Charger guy if he took advantage of me so he could sell it for what it was really worth.

chrisII

i bought my charger with no mirrors. went into auto zone and started looking around and found a pair of good looking black sport mirors that look much like the origionals i have seeen for $25. they arent remote, but i figure if im drivin the charger the windows shuld be down so an adjustment isnt that big of a deal.and they are brand new with gaskets, screws ect. they even mounted to the origional holes in my doors.

Judhudson

Which year Charger, Chris?  If it is for 3rd gens, are the holes far apart?  Like the mirrors in the first post?  Cause I'm going to check out Autozone then if they work :)

MOPARHOUND!

Gave $35.00 at the Mopar Nat's for a passenger side for a '71, but that was 2003.

I bought a pair juts like that on $20 for both I think :D... also missed passenger backing glass plate did need also to be rechromed BUT CHROME SHOP DAMAGED THE PASSENGER SIDE grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Used a donor driver side backing plate with wires to get it completed.
