Looking at buying a PTZ camera for my security system, any suggestions?

So I want to add a PTZ camera to my system but don't want to spend thousands of dollars.   What's a good one for residential use with optical zoom?

Skip! This is the industry I'm in.  What do you have now? How big of an area do you want to cover?
