So I want to add a PTZ camera to my system but don't want to spend thousands of dollars.   What's a good one for residential use with optical zoom?

PTZ = pan,  tilt,  zoom.
Is this to watch your own property, or to watch the neighbor chicks?

Skip my son installs CCV on ships, when he gets back from the Baltic Sea on the 4th I can see what he recommends. Are you wanting it networked or cable?  :scratchchin:

Skip! This is the industry I'm in.  What do you have now? How big of an area do you want to cover?

I'm kind of a CCTV geek.  BTW, I designed the system for the owners of Meadows and Boulevard Mall in your neck of the woods.
