Found it on Atlanta CL, says its located in Nashville. Don't know if its a scam or not, good looking car.

I'm no expert.  Looks nice, a little rough but solid and nice. What's it really worth?

myk

Guy's nuts.  He's willing to trade a Hemi B body for a modern pony car...

Ghoste

That surprises me that you would say that Myk as you are a big proponent of modifying every part of your classic but body lines.  It could be that he feels the same as you but is unwilling to alter a Hemi car and/or perform the requisite vintage car maintenance.  Trading to a modern car gives him something as powerful as the old one with all the other modern updates in something that is good enough looking in its own right without some of the down sides.
Maybe you have a few purist skeletons in the closet Myk?  There could be hope for you yet buddy. ;)

That's cause with NOM, and the $65k asking price, it's still in his driveway. "Rolex President"?
Prolly one of those "buying it now", gotta have one of everything types. Once he found out that you can't daily drive a 69 hemi, he quickly tired of it.

Looks like an "ok" car. Needs some obvious detailing & TLC. For that price I'd like to see it a little more "done".
Sure is an odd group of pictures.

Why speculate? Maybe the guy just wants a change? Could be something as simple as that. :shruggy:

And he does say it needs tlc.

Yeah I figured it was priced too high to be so rough around the edges, but I thought it was cool seeing a Hemi Charger nonetheless.

Seriously? a '69 HEMI Charger for a Rolex? I even read it twice because I tought I misinterpreted things

It might be priced high but if its the real deal then it is almost the ultimate desirable '69 : HEMI, 4 speed, triple black, console ,and tic-toc tach

need to find myself a good chinese Rolex  :D
Greetings from Belgium, the beer country

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...

Buyer says the car was originally Hemi Orange? I do see some red/orange looking color poking thru the undercoating underneath. No photo of the fender tag so who knows.  :shruggy:
I don't know a thing about watches either but a quick Google search of Rolex President watches show them for sale ranging from $5k - $50K+. Seems like a really odd trade but OK... whatever floats his boat.

"Triple black" means what? Black paint, black interior, and black vinyl top? If so, I'd prefer "double black", i.e., no vinyl top from the factory at all. Not only do I not care for the '60s and '70s vinyl top fad (and neither did the designer of the second-generation Charger; the higher-ups made him add one because they were a hot-selling option at the time), but with no vinyl top, you also know that there's no rusty roof skin and unfinished quarter panel-to-roof skin seams on the C-pillars lurking under there.

Did those 14" road wheels (the ones on that car are missing their trim rings) come stock on any Hemi Chargers? I thought all Hemi Chargers came with 15" plain steel wheels and hubcaps.

jaak

I found the Nashville listing, on it, it says it was originally an automatic, converted to a 4 speed. Pretty much has the same photos.

Jason

Ghoste

No fender tag or broadcast sheet for it.

Lol you wound me.  Don't get me wrong-if I got that car I'd be on the phone that day with every aftermarket manufacturer looking to modernize it to the max.  But to trade a Hemi car, a Hemi Charger no less, for a modern garden variety muscle car is going in the completely wrong direction.  You can't go to a dealer and buy a classic Charger's styling, presence and soul, so if I had to choose between a Hemi Charger and a new 5.0 Mustang the Charger would win with me every time, BUT.....that doesn't mean I wouldn't buy all the aftermarket pieces I could to put that classic Hemi Charger on an equal performance footing with that modern pony car...

He's not trading the car for a watch, Challenger, or Camaro.  He needs some of your cash as well guys.

Ghoste

What is on the side of the right valve cover?

fy469rtse

sorry, but i dont think he is going to get that $
my dream car, and this car is a good starting point, before the jam job tart paint work ,it never even had the door seals removed to paint? , it was an honest original car , and shows the signs of that,
needs a full restow,i would be wondering whats under that paint ,rest of car shows its age, so it would have the normal rust to the areas we are all familiar with
1 photo had me staring,
the rear torque boxes, have they been hacked , and whats up with image of cross member ?
