Somebody told on the old board about 60s Mopars ( including 68/69 Chargers ) with remoted trunk release were vacuum operated.

they were pretty much standard on "C" body cars...I don't think they were offered as an option on the Charger

:iagree: C-body only in the sixties and vacuum. Electrics didn't appear until the mid/late seventies.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

It was available as a dealer installed accessory though was it not?

By the time it goes to a headlight switch and a vacuum canister and then up to the buckets, is it that much shorter to run the lines to the headlamps in a Superbird?

I have come across several B-bodies (1968-70) through ownership and at cruises over the years that had the vacuum trunk releases.  My guess is that they were dealer installed options.

If you do a search on eBay, there is a vacuum operated latch being auctioned off now where the seller states that it came out of a 1970 Charger.
