I'm gonna guess the carbs & intake were for a 4spd car?

maybe a special linkage on the carb so switch into overdrive 4 speed?

other than that he had the wrong indication without saying it.

Yeah, one of the carbs on a Six Pack is different from an auto to a manual trns, I think it's the center one. 
If you want a "correct" set you need the right carb numbers.

The different carb numbers are jetted differently.  If you want it to work right, get the correct carb.  :Twocents:

I sent my Dominator to Holley and they made it look like new!   They flowed it, too.       Perfection.     :coolgleamA:

Oddly enough, the tab was $426.   
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

you sound like the guys with the Renault Alpine 310 which had two carbs on their V6; a Dual-barrel carb supplied four cylinders, one-barrel for two cylinders.  :eek2: must've been a b!tch to tune up.
