These are nice, the 1970 seems fairly cheap, any experience with them?

Shakey

Not myself but heard a nasty horror story from someone that bought a car from them.

I've met him and seems to be a nice guy.  He's in my area and seems to have Okay prices.(He's no HLPAG) :yesnod:  I've heard some things as well and know that a guy he had working for him was not a very good expert in the cars as he thought he was. That was a couple years ago.  I do know that he is picky about the cars.  I was talking to him about some cars back east to see if he wanted to buy them but he wasn't to interested.  He was to concerned about rust.  So, that tells me that he is nothing like HLPAG. :icon_smile_big:   His cars are not bondo buckets.  That does not mean that his cars are all bondo free, it just means that from what I've seen they are not JUNK....DAM, I need to give him this post and tell him I want a paycheck. :icon_smile_big:...To sum this up, They are worth looking at.       Chuck..........

I've read that too, the guy named Mark is the one I was talking about.  I was told alot of bad things about this man and things he did while working at Brocker's that Steve B. did not know about.   But, that's just hearsay and I've never met this Mark guy. :flame:  Before I get too deep I will say this, NEVER buy any car from far away without having it checked out. :yesnod:  If you are interested in a car he has I could look at any key areas that you would like and take pics for you. ;) If he won't let me take pics or give you pics of what you want, then I would not buy....But he seems cool to me so that should not be an issue.  If it is an issue, then I stand corrected and would NOT do business with him period >:(  Man you guy's got me really thinking now !!! I'll drop by there tomarrow and check out that 70 and pick his brain.  I've not spoke with him in about 2-3 years so I'll just drop by and say hey.  Then maybe my opinion of him may change or may not but either way I'll get to check out the charger...................Just trying to help ..........Chuck................

The owner has a duty to know what his employee is up to and stand behind the cars as represented.

I had them send me pictures of a roadrunner years ago - it looked good on their site, but in the pictures you could see missing parts in the engine compartment, panel fit was off, and the interior vinyl was re-painted the whitest white possible.  Needless to say, I didn't buy.

A note about the Better Business Bureau - they are NOT a government agency.  They are a business whose job is to promote member businesses [who pay an annual fee] and put a shiny face on things, like the cheap $200 paint job.
Whether the employees call themselves "agents" or whatever - they have no special power to do anything but warn their members and at worst drop them from the membership rolls. They have no prosecutorial / levy fining / or other means of enforcing the law.... Just keep this in mind when a business states they are endorsed by the BBB.

Have a read of this: http://www.brockersbeautys-suck.com/  :o

The lesson I get from this site linked above is never buy a car sight-unseen. I never have done that and I never will. You should at least ask someone in the local area to have a look on your behalf, even an appraiser. Even when you trust people you can't really trust them if they are trying to remove money from your wallet. Reagan said it best, "Trust, but verify." Also, I don't get how there isn't a site dedicated to warning people about hlpag, well, besides this one? :P

Although I did find this:

Pros: Mopar Junk yard

Cons: Wont sell parts, just overpriced hulks

Never saw such a greedy, misrep.ing, aweful used car dealer in my life. Totally lied to me on the phone.

HEY,  I just got back from Brocker's Beautys.  I had a nice chat with Mr. Steve Brocker. :yesnod:  I told him right of the bat why I was there, because I did not want to waste my time or his.  I told him that a guy on my charger site was asking about him and the 70 charger that he has for sale.  I also told him that I planned on going over the car in and out checking for rust and taking pictures of undercarriage and any areas that that are known to be trouble.  :icon_smile_evil:  He had no problem with that at all he said.  The 70 is not there right now but will be soon he said .  I did ask him about the trunk, floors, quarters, ect.  and he says they're solid.  But I still said if I was to come back to look I will still be taking pictures and he said no problem.  He was moving cars out of the shop to be detailed and told me to go ahead and look around.  Let me tell you this , I wish I had alot more money than I do. :'( :'(  The red 69 he has is beautiful, and one of the green 68's was very nice as well. :'(  He had 4 Chargers there , two outside being wiped down and the other two were inside the shop parked to close to look at good but looked just as nice. :yesnod: He also had some HEMI's, camaro's, RR, Javlin, NSX, you name it.......Now, I've seen HLPAG's pictures and their best $25k + car is not as nice as Brocker's worst car. :yesnod:  He did not strike me as a man that had something to hide. I still would not buy any car from anyone without having it checked out.  Would I buy from this man? ABSOLUTELY,  :yesnod: If the price was good and the car was good, No problem.  I don't think if I went to HLPAG, told them I was going to go over their cars in and out, take my own pictures and do a test drive for someone else, I'm sure they would tell me to leave.......But Brocker's said no problem.   That's the best I can do for you.  Good luck and let me know if you want some help......................... ;) Chuck.............

Chuck, thanks a lot for the effort, I appreciate, like I said though it won't be yet I will be getting one, i'm just getting as many opinions and reccomendations as possible at the moment, it's definitely good to know all this for the future though, the only problem with me flying from England to look at a car is that to pay for the airfare and find out the car is not suitable is going to get expensive so I probably would get an inspection done for me, although there are a lot of Dodge Chargers over here so it may be worth me hanging on for a nice one to come up for sale, cheers again

skip68

No problem. Just be carefull and ask for lots of pictures.  GOOD LUCK.  Chuck.....

I noticed he called the two Hemi Challenger's "Tribute Cars".  Is that a new way of saying "CLONE"  :-\

Yes.  I saw the one (yellow as I recall) and it was a very, very nice car.  But it did need some cleaning under the hood, nothing more than normal driving road grime. All those cars are road ready cars, and dam I still want that red 69 charger. :yesnod:

I just looked at his site and that yellow hemi clone is cleaner in the picture than it was when I was there yesterday.  It's because he drives them and takes them to shows ect.
