Well a few more random shots.....my 9 yr old boy telling me to hurry up and finish the car haha and just another front end pic...have been working most nights after work and a couple of full weekends, the weather looks good here for the weekend so i might get my self an online temporary movement permit so i can go for a drive to the workshop and back to finally get my very first drive of her...

Can't wait...so close now going to be weird driving a Left hook car haha

I'm so used to it I get confused when I'm in the RHD.

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

Ghoste

As you should, RHD is confusing.

Hey Chippa, a mate was telling me the other day that in some states Qld? maybe that the only way you could legally drive a lefty was to be a member of a club and have a logbook with a dedicated route in it, or else be compelled to change it to right hook, is this true or b/s?
Sounds damned horrible govt tactics if it is, I know that are hell bent on restricting imports for protectionism for local manufacturers but that is terrible if that is the case

That is one sweet Charger !!   :2thumbs:

Cheers guys and thx for the comments  She went over the pits first time which i was very happy about,Only things that i have to do is fit a passenger door side mirror for some more vision/safety as driving on the LHS of the road with a left hook car has its challenges!!!

One of the Cragars has a small chunk out of the centre part of the rim which they werent happy about so i had to make a mad dash to the workshop and swap over my rims and tyres then drive back to show them ( i then went back and thru mine back on  :nono:)and that was pretty much it apart from all the usual scrutineering that accompanies licensing a car...i really want to buy new Magnums or even new alloy Cragars but the Charger funds account is a little low haha, but i'm keeping my eye out incase a really good deal pops up!!

I had a bit of an embarrising moment at the servo the other day, i pulled up,put some fuel in her  and everyone was staring which made me feel 10 ft tall ... but when i went to hop  back in the car my brain was still in RH drive mode and i hopped into the passenger seat to start her up!!!!! :hah:
I then proceeded to pretend i was looking for something in the glove box for a minute and casually got back out...what a stooge i am haha

So i have been ironing out a few small probs this week and tonight just put a seal kit thru the oil pump as i had a small oil leak and been re aligning the throttle cable and kickdown linkage, i have set it up ok but still need some fine tuning.....other than that shes pretty good to go but as most of us know all too well these cars can be a labour of love spending time tinkering around trying to improve on our current state of the car etc etc....

Just want to say a big thankyou to everyone on this site that has been willing to impart some knowledge onto me and words of encouragement, i still have alot to learn and more smaller details to do on the Charger but now after all my hard work and paitience i can finally get in it and cruise!!!
Spring is here now in Oz so bring on the good weather and car cruises!!!!!! will try and post up some nice pics on the weekend..

Cheers Andrew   :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

Good onya mate.
I'm looking forward to you joining us for a cruise or two over the next few months.
Try to get down to the next Charger Club meeting if you can. Don't have to bring the car along as it's at night anyway, but you can meet some of the guys, have a beer or two at the bar, and get info on upcoming events.
I'm no longer making bootie calls to the blonde out your way but I'm sure we'll catch up elsewhere soon.
Congratulations on getting another Mopar onto the streets of Perth.

Well we have a Chrysler Expo day comming up in Feb here in West Oz (Perth) and my door scuff plates were looking very sad so seeing as i didnt want to go to the expense of buying and importing in new plates i thought i would have a crack at bringing some life back into the old ones....

Sooo after spending $12.99 on a cheap 3 stage buffing wheel set with polish sticks, some elbow grease, and a couple of Budweisers heres my results....not too shabby  :2thumbs:

Bob T

Good result for $12.99 and a few beers

Chippa,

As I sent you a PM, that was my old Charger! I had it in northern Illinois for about 7 years and it was a blast to drive. I'm going to dig up what I can find on the car and send it to you.

I'd love to help you with the history on the car.

I need your "real" email.
