Ok 4 speed car. I am not talking about the big clutch spring. Right above the brake pedal linkage there is a smallish spring that hangs down. It is asking to get hooked to the "dog bone" link that ataches to the pedal. The only thing I can think is anti rattle. Any pictures or am I right?
Thanks Dave

My power brake setup had that so you may be right... :scratchchin:

Best I can do is my old topic. You can't see it but it did fit to the power brake linkage pictured, there is a groove around the "dog bone" it clips to from above. I suspect it balances the the "bone" as the levers kinda do their thing more than anti-rattle. It pulls the peddle linkage back from the booster. Scroll down 3/4's of the page, the 2nd pic of 4 posted (The switch is blocking it, but you'll get the idea.)

It would be the same for any power brake setup, manual or auto trans.

Cool, learned something new again.

I bought a pedal setup for my 4 speed conversion with a complete brake pedal and it did'nt have the spring, so I did'nt even knew there belonged one there.....
Am I right or not? : De dogbone rod is a power brake thing only, non power brake cars had a direct rod....

Thanks TT I saved that picure for the reassembly period

NOS is nice, turbo's are neat, but when it comes to Mopars, there's no need to cheat...
