That bald oaf really has a thing for Chargers pulling valance dragging wheelies. How ridiculous.  ::)

Daytona R/T SE

That car is insanely hideous. I don't know why they shortened the thing. Looks like the messed with the chargers geometry big time. Mistake.

They obviously haven't heard of the adage............leave well enough alone!

Tomorrow is promised to no one.......drive your Charger today.

Wing cars only look beautiful if you know the backstory on them and appreciate the engineering involved.

If you show people a wing car and tell them it's a backyard customization you did just to look cool, 10 people out of 10 will say it's fugly.

Regular 69 owners get the -you gonna paint it orange?-
Daytona owners will get the -you gonna paint it Burgundy?-

Hmmm, let's see.....one movie that will probably feature weed-eater sounding japanese cars for the majority of the movie and feature that horrendously modified charger daytona only for a couple of scenes...versus 9 seasons of a tv show, a couple made for tv reunion movies, and  horrible attempt at a big screen movie all spanning 26 years......I doubt many people will ask a daytona owner about painting it burgundy.

I know a guy with a '70 charger that has a blower and everything, and he said he only ever had one guy ask him if it could pull a wheelie.......the thing is, he said "yes, my dad has pulled the front end off the ground while drag racing the car".  (the owner has never seen the F&F movies and didn't know about that scene until the guy told him about it that day)  And, shockingly, he wasn't in the elast bit upset by someone asking him about his car.

When I read the words "regular 69 owners", I start thinking words like "stuck up", "troll", and many words I can not and will not repeat on here.

There is no reason to continue the bashing.  I would bet money that the majority of people who walk up to a charger owner and ask if they are going to paint it orange....only know it's a charger because of the association with that show.  Be glad they even know what your car is, for crying out loud.

Two weeks ago I had a guy swear up and down that my car (sitting in my garage mind you) was a GTO.  At last years thanksgiving dinner at my Mom's house, I had a relative's boyfriend telling me that the car in the Dukes was a chevy!   :brickwall:

Amen....Couldn'tna said it better. So if we do not see Hollywood using any musclecars, that's bad....But, if we SEE Hollywood using Musclecars, butr are made up custom, that's bad too. But, if we see Hollywood using musclecars and crashing them, then that's bad as well...But, if we see Hollywood using musclecars, leaving them stock, never driving them, just watching them sit on some random street, or in a movie with Nicholas Cage, then that's bad as well as BORING....Hmmmmm, sounds like Hollywood just can't please the Mopar musclecar croud at all, no matter what the hell they do.

That could also be taken to mean that Hollywood can't please anyone with good taste.

Hollywood using classic cars in movies. Fine, no problem.
Hollywood destroying classic cars, something I am passionate about, just for jollies in a lame movie with a lame script that will have a month of fame then be long forgotten. Phucking stoopid.  :eek2:

Hmmmmm, I could SWEAR there are folks STILL building "Eleanor" Clones out of clapped out Fastback 1967-68 Mustangs, and selling for huge money...

When was that movie made again? like 2001? :smilielol:

Building cars = Good.
Destroying them = Bad.

See the difference?

Exactly. I don't see anybody going out and buying ANY of the "Daytona/Superbird parts to clone this thing. They are still a Rich guys game even today with the repro parts. You will have at least $25K in a clone done "Almost" correct.

you too!!!!  I thought skyfall was boring too people were saying it was the best action flick of all bond movies, but in reality it was just another bond movie to me I thought the first was better for Daniel Craig.

I agree FandF series is 'fun' to watch as long as you take it as a way to get away from reality its a great movie.  I remember when the first X men movie came out all the critics hated it because, get this, 'THE MOVIE WAS TOO UNREALISTIC HOW A MAN CAN HAVE CLAWS COMING OUT OF HIS HANDS'.  I mean really come on....if a critic has the nerve to criticise a movie by that well its sad.

The movie may suck.   But anything that gets these cars in front of the youth is a good thing.    There's no such thing as bad publicity.   :2thumbs:
