I watched that too! Was great to see the old race cars and the Chargers out doing what they did best!  There were still some old school cars racing in 72.

They did a good job at replaying the old R & T tv show. I remember when Speed used to have them on in the morning. I like how they now put in those little facts of the era. Like "gas was .32 cents a gallon, theirs was .41".

Yep,
That was one awesome show.
Loved seeing my 70 charger flying round the track with the 3rd gens.

I'm assuming your topic title was a typo, and it was supposed to be Dale Sr. not Jr.

I thought that was a great show.  Dale jr did a good job in between and the footage was great for the time.  Of course I too have seen that race before so I knew Richard Petty was gonna hit the wall  :yesnod:

How about when Dave Marcus crashed his AMC Matador he jumped into his '70 Charger to finish the race!!
I saw several '70 Plymouths too

I think I have a new show to look for every week

And once again the 3rd Gen Charger takes the win with The King driving on this weeks Back in the day!

Old nascar footage is the best. I had some superbird video clips. I really liked the road race style nascar races with the superbirds. Yeah its not as fast, but at least they turn right!

1969 Mustang Mach 1
