I am pretty sure this is the car that started the Mopar performance "love" for me. It was about 1972 the guy that owned this worked at my uncle's shop in Centralia, WA. He took me 14, and my cousin 16, out for a ride in this car. We were on I-5 heading south. The car is an automatic. we were going 70, he stepped on it, and the car burned out...oh my gosh!!! I had never heard of a hemi before that.

This was my first mopar perfromance engine experience. The first Mopar I fell in love with was a 67 Charger Garnet Red 440 4-speed black interior that I saw on the showroom floor in 66 when my dad was buying his /6 Dart GT. When the 68s came in I was even more in love with the 68 body style (still am).

That is a beautiful car I love the yellow.,,,the 66-67 B bodies are lighter than 68-70, right?

I think they do get a little less money too. Don't know what they should go for. All prices seem down.

The next time I see the guy who owned the car in this thread I will ask him about it. He is still in contact with my Aunt and Uncle.

Man I'm way down the food chain compared to you all. The car that started it for me was a 63 push button auto slant six Valiant. I went on to buy a 66 Valiant 273 V8, 68 Charger 318 with a 3 on the tree, 66 Sport Fury (440), 69 Sport Satellite (lost it in a swindle. Too painful to talk about) 66 Valiant convertible, 68 Barracuda, 69 Sport Satellite #2 (sold it and regret it) 65 Dodge Dart 273 V8 (left it with my youngest brother in California who sold it out from under me), and a 68 Charger #2. I sold the Fury to another brother and still have the 68 Barracuda, 68 Charger, and 66 Valiant convertible. I wish I had never let a single one of them get away.  A few years ago, I picked up the tail lamp assembly, outer part as well, and front grille and headlamp sections from a 66 Coronet, one of my favorite cars, at U-Wrench it. My theory is that if I have these parts, sooner or later a car will have to come searching for them. And I found a 413 4 bbl that could go into it. I am still waiting for the Coronet to knock on my door and ask to move in.

I was interested by late 70s, certainly with prime time DOH, Fall guy, knight rider, 007 etc.  My first ride was in my brother-n-laws 67 Mustang FB w/ Cleveland & 4spd bright yellow with flat black hood about 1979ish I recon, hooked at that moment but not to ford thank goodness :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:  (although truth be told made a preliminary play/offer first time in my life on a ford last month (a factory black red stripped 429-4spd builder :ahum: :coocoo: ).

It is interesting where and when the sparks creates the interest and how it changes over time.  :scratchchin:

What is sad related to the FB, to this day and much as I nag my sister she will not let her husband buy another old 67 FB and I know how much he would enjoy one.

I had a family member that had a 440, 4 spd, yellow 69 Roadrunner that was very fast. His wife drove a 68, 383 auto, green Charger back in mid 70s. Go figure they both turned out to be useless people. But the cars made a impression on me.
