This'll probably be the only time you'll see me post about the new "Charger"

Apparently there's going to be a new (hopefully decent) SyFy series called Defiance and Dodge is showing pics of a Mad Maxed-out new "Charger" from the 2013 Chicago Auto Show that's going to be in the series. It actually looks a lot more like the truck it is with the all-terrain tires and simulated rust.

The new Charger runs circles around the old.  Goes faster, stops quicker, turns better, and gets more mpg.   A lot safer, too.
OK, so it has 2 more doors.   My waist isn't a size 29 anymore either!   :smilielol:
I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Huge improvement over the factory four door thing. :2thumbs:

looks like it's still a 4 door, but I doubt the rear doors open with those roll bars on there

No one ever mentions aesthetics during these apologetic arguments. Wonder why?

Actually, next to each other, our old Chargers look ungainly and tippy, compared to the longer wheelbase and less overhang of the new ones.

The rear tail light looks great at night on the new ones.  Like a 69, but better.

Did I mention lower? The new one is lower and looks better because of it.
Apologies are not needed for the new one.  It outsells are beloved old ones.    :shruggy:

I see a lot of younger guys driving the new ones. I see a lot of old farts driving the old ones!  :'(

Tippy and ungainly? ::) Maybe you're thinking of your size 40 waist. I've never seen an ungainly classic Charger.

Kinda gutsy bashing classic Chargers on a classic Charger site. Granted, the new car has better amenities than the classic ones, but at least the older ones have character.

If that is the case, what the hell are we doing here?  Guess its time to take our old Chargers to the scrap yard and have 'em crushed like they should have been before we bought them,  and spent a load of cash fixing up these useless heaps, then go out and buy one of those new lower,  better and cooler one the younger guys are buying with the money the scrap yard gives us for the metal.   Wish you would have told me this before I spent good money over bad.
too many to list!

I guess your entitled to your opinion

Maybe I should ask how old are you?

I've always said that I'm glad the new Chargers don't look like ousr, if they did, I may feel like I wasted time/money too.

There's nothing to worry about there. At best it would be a tribute look rather than a copy, much like the new Challengers, Mustangs and Camaros.

Why wouldn't it continue?  I can't wait for the show to become a big hit and see everyone build cars like that and drive them around everywhere.

What's up Curtis?  Run out of stuff to do on your Charger?   ;)

:nana: No. Ran out of money to pour into it... for the moment.
