I remember driving up on a tire to break it down... I never thought of doing it this way.

Pretty cool, never seen it done before either!
Sold my Charger unfortunately....never got it finished.

what about the other side?  do you still have to brake the other side by hand?   pretty cool though

I don't know about the other side. I would think that it would at least loosen up the other side a little where you could break it down a little easier.

I'd like to see that done with say a 345/40/17 tire...

i used to mount 44 swampers with a lighter and aersol. it freaked out people but works damn good.

It "breaks the bead"...but doesn't dismount the tire :shruggy:

I'd rather spend $10 bucks for a tire store to dismount/mount a tire rather than pry it off myself.  :eek2:

Tire machines prevents rim/tire damage. :2thumbs:

Back when I was doing my own tires, I spent the only $10 I had ON the tire, so I had to mount and dismount them myself. Hell I don't even change my own oil anymore.

Change oil who does that anymore? Oil changes from a local "speedy lube" usually costs less than buying oil and filters yourself....plus they properly recycle the old oil - and clean the mess! :2thumbs:

I asked the guy that collects the used oil at a dealer I use to work for and he told me they take the used oil to the port and fill the tanks of the large ships that go over sea and the ships burn the used oil as fuel when they get to international waters.

Yeah the guy that used to pickup our used oil years ago told me that. They used to buy it, then they started charging to take it, not sure what they do now. They probably sell it to the ship owners too.

I guess thats ONE way to do it. Why wouldn't you just use your tire machine?
