Me and the BIL hit another gunshow today and I picked up a riser and a halographic red-dot. The riser makes it a lot more comfortable. Now all I like is a tactical light and I will be done with this one. :drool5:

Nice looking rifle. Already too much "bling" on it for me but, that is just me. A light to fit the quad-rail on that gun shouldn't be too hard to find. Got one in mind?

Not really. Any suggestions?

Ha! not really either as I never put lights on my guns, pistol or rifle. Lots of bright TAC- Lights out there now.

So do you put your chin on the stock or something? Why so high on the riser?

I have that same sight on my Colt AR.....it's a CQB sight so you're looking through and around it.

Ironic that Obama wants to get all the guns off the street, yet gun sales have skyrocketed. Those damn things are like $1500.00 now. I rememebr when I could get one for like $400.00....

Obama is the best gun salesman ever.
Picked up another today for $699. DPMS flattop.

That is a great price considering the "price-gouging" going on down here!

damn, how are you doing that??  they can't even get any shipped in out here, let alone at that price.  If you can put your own together there are places on www.gunbroker.com that sell the lowers then another place to sell the rest as a kit, around 700, as long as you know what your getting into in the kit

I just got lucky. Walked into BassPro to see if they had any ammo and looked over on the wall and there it was. It had just came in so I grabbed it :icon_smile_big: They also had 2 other ar's, a Bushmaster and another brand, they were gone before my paperwork was completed.

My local dealer also has a New Frontier on order for me. $690.

Where are you located? Even the Bass Pro Shops around here (Katy and Houston Tx) don't have those prices.

I can't even find a box of 22 LR local & all the internet places are "sold out".

Did just trade my Taurus PT 92 for a Ruger convertible 22\22 Mag and got some cash.

My plan is to go down to just a few types of ammo so it is easier\cheaper to shoot.(hoard)

Now I have .22,38/.357,.500 & 12 gage and may sell off the 500, 2 of them are relatively cheap to shoot or were.

I have more than enough ammo so I am not caught up in this buying frenzy, other than trying to find 22 Mag which I didn't have till last week.

Very nice AR you have there.  :2thumbs:

You got lucky to buy the new one for what you were able to get it for, that was a cheep price.  It would look good with a short barrel and suppressor on it.  :yesnod:  Most dealers I talk to do not expect prices to come down for another 6-12 months. Manufactures can not catch up.
