Location of trunk release switch in c barges

Can anyone tell me where this type of switch would go in one of the c barges?  It's going in the Charger but would like to know if I can get it close to factory location.  I think it will end up somewhere under the ash tray or closer to the ignition switch...which is going to interfere with the aftermarket radio probably.

Just 6T9, where did you mount yours?

I believe you asked this a couple weeks ago, but I'll tell you again, just to run up my post count some more ;D  On the 70 Polara, it was in the glove box on the left side.  Of course, that was the vacumn style.

That was for an original Charter trunk release button, I don't know where these belong but I doubt they were in the glove box.

not sure if this is any help  , i've always thought the OEM vacuum trunk release switch in a 69 charger  , was in the general location  on the green circle in the first picture ,  but that don't mean much , i could easily be getting confused with something else i've seen at some point  :slap:
think  some  later ie  70s C -bodies  in glove box

pictures 2 , 3 & 4  i saved from the 70 charger registry a little while back ,  if i remember correctly  this was installed by the dealer & was electric ,  will try to find the  post on the 70 site later  :yesnod:

Thanks tan top, that helps.   :2thumbs:

I have my aftermarket radio under the ignition switch.  I may move it later on but honestly I like having it there.  Putting the switch on the left side of the steering column would probably work fine so I may just put it there.
