Just curious as mine has that option but rarely do I see it on other Chargers.

Rare.  I don't have numbers but the cloth seat inserts are not often seen.

Thanks ghoste, my car is numbers matching and has some cool options for a 318 car. My plan was a DMCL clone but i want it all original. Its Y3 vinal delete with the c5x interior trim.

Just 6T9 CHGR

Out of over 2600 '69's registered I only have 47 registered with that option....pretty rare indeed.

For those that dont know what the C5X option is...

Black colored vinyl seats with black cloth inserts....

I have one in the barn.  Q5, 318, auto-console, interior light package, AM radio, no A/C, and a dealer installed vinyl top.  I always considererd it an oddball.

My car had it originally, my car is far from stock so I didn't re do them that way. I checked back a few years ago, and Legendary had some NOS cloth material...it was a lot of $$$$$ to have those made.

I'm sure I have more pics, but this is the only one I can find at the moment, look at the seat under the work bench.

C5X DAYTONA

My 69 Daytona is C5X hints the screen name.   Without going through the files. I think I have 6 Daytona's with C5X option.
Caution.... Low flying aircraft.

Ghoste

Which is interesting because of the tiny handful of cars I've seen with it, most or all were 500's.

Cody  69BronzeT5 , has that trim in his charger too , i believe :yesnod:

I was thinking someone in the sales bank ordering department liked cloth seats.

Yep...my '69 has it too. T5 Copper, no top, black interior, C5X with the C21 buddy seat. Mine still has the original seat covers.

I believe from the top of my head that the first 4 of the 69 500's have this option. Then again they are all Hemi cars too.

69rtse4spd

Think I have a set of buckets like that in the loft when I stripped out a 69 years ago.

Must be a popular option with the rt/se 500's and Daytona's. When you order the covers there under those models

dmann

my old daytona had that option--probably why it had the correct buildsheet!

Ghoste

Thats why I'm wondering if someone doing the ordering for sales bank cars liked it.

You right.  Someone liked it personally. Or the guys that designed thought it needed more exposure. Or they needed to clean out the inventory becasue it was a dud.
