Just a little overpriced I'd say....

Definatly a rare car worth being restored. But the car is not a little overpriced, its entered the crazy range. If someone list a car for a silly price, they get silly comments about it.

Just for clarification, I'm not attacking the MAN who owns the car in this situation. I'm simply trying to state a fact....he's a litte overpriced with the car. I'm sure he's a great guy, and from the sounds of it many of you can back that statement up. I don't know the circumstances behind the car, or why he's selling etc. But from what I've learned from all the threads of read, for THIS car....his price is a bit high....

I think we all know that when we post a price for a car and find it out of 'whack' of course we are not attacking the prerson we are just mentioning the price of the car itself that is all.

I've bought parts from this guy, he was excellent to deal with both price wise and quality.  I'd say it the typical Ebay schtick- list high, get lots of exposure, include phone number and sell it for a real price after the auction ends.
Or hope for that rich sucker that really wants it bad!

Amazingly enough, wonder why no one else seems to grasp this concept? Like dude thinks he might actually get the "asking" price? Or is it the fact he might actually GET his asking price that gets all ther haters to post in these threads???

Yeah, I've gotten some pleasant surprises on Ebay myself- my other hobby is railroading (real and model), I picked up a box of stuff at a thrift store for $10, pulled out the stuff I wanted and put the rest up on the Bay.. There were two old cap badges (from conductors hats), one nice, one ratty.  The ratty one sold for $270, the nice one for $350!  I was thinking I'd get $5 each and get my money back, I was grinnin'!  Shaking my head, but grinnin'!

And THIS is why E-Pay is still around. Folks can complain about pricing until they sell something that brings one helluva lot more than those "guys on the board" said it would. All of a sudden, the "Market" thinking has been changed.

Ebay and paypal are great devies for moving money around and selling its a combo deal.  Its free enterprise and they are capitilising on this just how like 'Chargers' go up in value people will sell and ask for whatever they want as long as the market is there and its obviously is.  Though what one ask for and gets are two different things  :popcrn:

90,000 chargers built in 1969.  Roughly 388 with sun roof.  About 118 rts with sunroof.  Hemi orange was spring color, so very few 69s in hemi orange.  When was the last time you saw a factory v21 performance hood treatment on a 69 charger?  I never even knew there was such a thing until I got this car.  Don't believe me about rarity?  Check the 69 charger registry.  When done, this car will get a ton of attention at any show.  If no one wants to bring the money...I build it and get the attention and magazine articles. :)

Hi rave, no doubt a rare car.  Good luck on your sale.

Objectively, however, if I was in the market for this Charger I'd want to see a fender tag (and/or broadcast sheet).  Also, a disassembled car with 'almost all sunroof parts there' seems somewhat daunting.  I think the price would be fair if the car was unrestored but fully assembled so that one could see what the 'other parts...just need to round up' really means.

It should be obvious that I am using eBay as a tool to separate the number collectors from those with "actual money.".

rare optioned yes, but its a bit rough to get that kind of money even if it is potentially a great car to rebuild.  Rare options rarely equate to a substantial increase in value, i've got a few rare options on mine and don't expect 50k for mine (then again it isn't for sale, and if someone offered that much i'd probably take it) rarity wise, i think one of 57 cars with the right side mirror is neat, i'd rather have that than a sunroof.  I think having a creme yellow Y3 with a tan top RT SE makes mine quite a bit rarer, not that it will pull stupid money.  not NM either, but most original parts are there.

I don't think he's a little over priced at all. I think he is WAY over priced. If someone wants to pay that much for a sun roof, more power to him. For that kind of money, a good Charger that is running can be had or one restored with money left over. I understand Chargers go up, after all how do you clone it from another car like a Satellite cloned into a Road Runner but that price for a car in that condition is way out of line. If it was a hemi 4 speed...

Its a bad time to sell, worse time to sell a project. I feel for anybody trying to move a old mopar. Especailly a rare car like this because the current market does not respect it in terms of money.

Lord Warlock

kind of funny how folks go nuts for a sunroof on an old musclecar, but they hate them on the new ones.  Have one on my challenger only because it had one already and i got it for free.
