Was the original finish  for the clutch Z-bar be painted black, bare steel or plated zinc? Inbquiring minds must know.  :2thumbs:

 I can only guess that the one in my car was bare steel as it was evenly rusted when I sandblasted it. :Twocents:

That would be my guess too, but I'm not sure. Mine's now plated with electoless nickel.
