I used to own a mopar because it was different, but now I know better.

i'm  not a great fan of hood scoops on a second generation  ,  although like the lift off hood six pack A12 , sixty nine & a half  style  :yesnod: ,

but been looking at this charger for a while on Ebay  , think i could live with it  , more than with any other hood scoop ,  as its sort of a optical illusion , sort of thing ,  looking from out side the car at some angles :-\ :shruggy:

although  taking the time to fit a air grabber set up , might be my first choice if i had to have a scoop / cold air intake  :yesnod: , but then your limmited  what high rise intake manifold you can run  , something you was prolly puting a scoop on for in the first place

I'd rather see a GM style cowl hood than that thing.

I've never seen a scoop that made the hood look better than stock.  The 2nd gen looks best untouched save for the wheels...not these though... :eek2:

Don't like the hood, nor the placement of the HEMI emblem, but wheels are nice.  Buy a real Hemi Charger for less.
too many to list!

Ghoste

Not a fan of scoops on 2nd gens either and especially other brands versions like the Ford T-bolt scoop on this one or that cowl induction Chevelle thing.  Outside of that I kind of like that car, were I to be in the market for it I could overlook the scoop knowing I would ditch it after purchase.  The wheels being replaced are a given of course.

Bobs69

My first thought is that they both look STUPID.

Homerr

As it sits it looks unsellable.  Put on a stock hood, Magnum 500's, and you've got yourself a $70,000 Hemi clone.

bill440rt

Pretty sure that car was in a detailed build thread over on the www.1970chargerregistry.com forum.
IIRC a stock steel '70 hood was cut up for the bubble.  :rotz:
Wasn't it also featured in a booth at SEMA?  :scratchchin:

My sentiments, too.

I vote for ugliest hood scoop ever and wheels are not far off. They belong on a honda civic.

The seller wont do that though  ::) :icon_smile_big:

To each his/her own but.....

The hood scoop and wheels lool like hell. Just butt ugly. The emblem looks like an auto parts store "stick on"
FLY NAVY/Marine Corps or take the bus!

JB400

:scratchchin: Another member has those Foose wheels on his car.  Emblems are factory.  I'd pull the Hemi out and put in an A/FX clone and drop in a 440 in the charger and put the hood back to stock with the same paint scheme.

I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

Is this a new trend now to fill the valance corner gaps?
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Cooter

That's why this car is done that way Dino. it's being offered to folks that want a "Resto-mod, NOT a factory Hemi Charger. I think the valances look BETTER filled than not, but then again, the factory seam sealed 'em so I guess one COULD say they were "Filled" from the factory as well.

Ah yes, missed the restomod bit.  Looks like the quarter extensions have been made permanent as well.  I do like the clean look of it as well but most of th etime it looks bondo'ed over.  Nothing wrong with having a nice even gap that gets filled with sealer just before paint though.

Hideous, The Charger hood is best left alone. Although I do like the sixpack scoops on 68-70's.

Isn't the Hemi emblem in the correct spot?   :scratchchin:

I could live with those wheels, but that hood has got to go....  :eek2:

6pkrtse

Yes, On a 70' that is where the Hemi emblem was located. I never liked it there personally either. Between the door indentions like on a 68' or 69' looks much better.

What does the 6 pack scoop look like?

Ghoste

He's referring to a retrofit of the stock Super Bee/Road Runner Six Pack scoop onto a Charger.  Its the big one you've seen on the 69 1/2 Bees and Runners, the Chargers didn't have one as stock.  (if that is what you are asking for)
