Hi people,
I've been a member for a while now and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Bill and I'm an addict. I admit it I'm addicted to muscle cars and movie cars of all types. I graduated at 16 and at 18 started my first video store, collecting a few cars along the way ( Helped that my dad is a used car dealer)In the mid 90's bought an old 1950's Drive-In Theatre. In 2002 I decided to build a new twin screen Drive-In. Now I like to collect movie themed cars to display at the theatres and show the classic movies for which these cars starred in. I recently bought member Khryon's DMCL charger. It is a great car and Jason is a great guy and he did a wonderfull job on that car.
I would like to find a Vanishing Point challenger and a Phantasm cuda. I don't care if they're clones that would be better "Da" a real hemi cuda would be worth more than both Drive-ins. Oh well thats my story and I'm sticken to it.

So hello Folks,

Bob T

Gidday from New Zealand, great first post. Pleased to hear you've got a good movie Charger there and its a well sorted car too by the sounds of it , I've got a 'close to' Bullitt Charger here.             Better see if you can get some pictures of your car at the theatre up when you can.  Bob

So hello Folks,

Welcome to the Charger family. I'm glade to see the car is back on this forum with its new owner. That's a nice car you got, and all the other things you have going on. Love to see some pictures. We love pictures here. We have our share of some movie cars, and guy's and gal's that have knowledge of them.

Bill,

Welcome to the site!  One of the best sites out there for Chargers and other mopar related info!  Would this be the drive in movie place in Warwick, NY?  If so, that is really close to me!

Hey welcome from an x ny er that lives in PA and was from Long Island and still works in NY. We had 2 drive ins  on LI . I believe they are long gone . Now that is an extreme hobby / business . Good luck and enjoy.

Thanks to all,

And yes over 90% of Drive ins are gone. Lot of Walmarts & Lowes ,Home depot...etc Sad. And even sadder we'll loose even more for the studios are forcing us to convert from unbroken working fine for over 100 years film to digital at only about 75 k per screen.... ya sucks. Just to have product on the screen. Oh well I think thats why I like old cars there dependable and you can work on them. This new digital has a life span of 10 years. My 35 mm projectors are over 60 years old and run like new. OOps I forgot this is the charger forum not Drive in chat ... Ahh I just like to vent.

:2thumbs:  Yup, its all good.  Again, even though we are a charger site, we talk and vent about everything from wifes to couches that vibrate  (way before you joined) to spotting ducks and cats.   :smilielol:  Yup, we are a wacky extended family here!  Again, welcome to the insanity!
