What don't you understand? If you get dizzy go out and drive a car.

You might have a bigger concern than a misplaced comma in that label. The name of the drug appears to be misspelled.

Just stay away from the heavy machinery and you'll be ok.  and seek a physician's help if you get an erection that lasts for more than 3 hours.

Whooeee...Cipro.  You must have something pretty nasty.  What is it?  Urinary tract infection?  Kidney infection? Intestinal infection?

That's some pretty powerful stuff and will make you feel almost as bad as the infection itself.  You'll wind up with a fur-covered orange tongue.

Once you're finished with the cipro, get yourself some probiotics and a crate of stonyfield farm yogurt and rebuild the flora in your intestinal tract.
I ain't got time for pain, the only pain I got time for is the pain i put on fools how don't know what time it is.

DING! DING! DING! Yes to all of the above! I some how picked up a Urinary tract infection that has spread through out my body. I got it last year, and thought it had gone away. But now it came back, and its gotten into my prostate too to the point the doc said its really mushy. He said it must of been festering a long time in the prostate before releasing it's self into the rest of my body. It's now starting to get into my kidneys as well. It hurts like a bitch to pee. Almost as if I was peeing fire as I go. My lower back hurts like hell in the morning too with the kidneys getting into the action. I been taking several different sample pills over the past 2 months (they are generous about those if needed), but they weren't doing much. So now he's trying this. He also thinks (after telling some of my other symptoms today) that my bladder isn't getting totally empty anymore when I go. I go a lot, almost every hour, to 2 and a half hours compared to the normal 4 or 6 hours. And thats when I don't drink a lot. So, next Tuesday, I am going in to have some ultra sounds done to see what my bladder is doing. I hope these pills work. I sucks peeing fire :icon_smile_dead:

This is another reason I can not get that Blue '74 Charger I was going to buy. I have no insurance, so all this is coming outta my shallow pockets :-\

Dude, we have something in common, unfortunately.

I just polished off a bottle of Levaquinn(sp?), doesn't work anymore for me.  So the new stuff is nitrofurantoin macro.  I'll get a UTI that sometimes knocks me down for a week.  Chills, no energy, mouth full of fever blisters, etc oh yeah been there, done that.  .I fell asleep at half time of the Pro Bowl and woke up this morning for a Dr. appointment.  You don't want to let the shit go untreated, it will knock you down, trust me.  Back pain is a sure sign.  I get the cold sores and am weak because my body was fighting it and leaves the rest of your body vulnerable to any kind of virus, etc.  The effects are sure to vary, but mine were (are) common, so the doc says.
No insurance, I'm sorry, that sucks.  I know the insurance company has to love me. ;)

I HOPE YOU GET TO FEELING BETTER.  :-\

Arigmaster

Wholly Cow!

I really feel for you because Ive been there too just this past January. I knew something was up back in December but was way to busy for the trip to the doctor. Well, I paid dearly for not going in and getting the antibiotics for the UTI. They think I passed a stone which started the infection but since I let it go it came down on me with a wrath!

The infection was in my Kidney, Bladder, and Prostate then just to add to the fun it moved downward and caused a real nasty case of Epididemitis. (one side swelled up to the size of a hard boiled egg)

MAN!... I was wishing for death to just come and take me. I had the 500mg. Vicodine and it said every 4 to 6 hrs..  SCREW THAT...I was downing them nearly two hours apart and was still in complete pain. I hope I never go through anything like that ever again.

I was hoping my response wasn't too wind bagged, just trying to explain what you DON'T want to go thru.  Arigmaster helped to back it up.   DCG, it's a nasty infection that you don't getting the best of you.

Telvis

Holy cow! Sounds bad fellas. You are in our prayers. I'm gonna go wash my hands and disinfect a few things.....

Wow, doesnt sound like fun. Hope your feeling better soon DCG.

Sounds like you guys should've been drinking more sudz to keep things flowing properly.

I hope you guys can get on top of this quickly, that's gotta suck terribly! :-\

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Half rack a night seemed to keep the doctor away in my drinking daze...all that liquid flowing kept everything clean.      Right?  :-[

On another note, anyone ever hear of urinating out of your belly button?

694spdRT

Sorry to hear about both of you guys having these problems. I hope everything clears up quickly.

My dad has been battling kidney stones and gall stones for several years. They cause infections and back pain like you have mentioned so hopefully the doctor is checking you for that. Dad even had his badly infected gall bladder removed 20 years ago and more gall stones just showed up last fall. Those stones blocked his liver bile duct and when that plugs up you are dead unless they go up in and physically clean it out. All of this is on top of a bile duct infection that nearly killed him in 2001.

I am the only one left in my family with a gall bladder and that includes my younger sister who had it out in her early 20's.  :-\

Sorry for the somewhat 'jack DCG.

Ty, wow, sorry to hear that.  That's similar to what they're worried about.  Further complications doing the domino effect.  He said I wasn't suppose to beat myself up anymore.  It's not my fault for recurring UTI's.
To eliminate the possibility of problems down the road, (I'm only 2 years into this), it's back under the knife for a 6 hour surgery for the belly button thing.  I hate to even think about it.  But it's supposed to be common for folks in my position.

DCG, I hope you're intimidated enuf now to not let this get out of hand.

Some may think, cheese Mike a little too much information there dude.  I look at it as informing people from the "other" side.

Well I'm glad I logged on today, I learned something I hadn't known (or even thought of) before. But I'm sure there's things you really wish you never knew regarding this, huh? Hope it goes well for ya, Man. :pity: You too, DCG. ;)

Wouldn't it be great if they could just stick us on a rotisserie & make us as good as new? :icon_smile_big:

hey guys
add me to the club. i was on cipro last yr for a bladder infection. i was getting up  like 6 or 7 times in the middle of the night to pee. man, that sucked. i never felt like i got any sleep.  yogurt and acidophilus helps keep the side affects of the cipro down to a minimum. hope you fell better Rene

I guess I learned something here.   My wife has dealt with reoccurring UTI's over the years, but I never thought they were that common in men.

Hope you feel better soon DCG.

They prob. figure everyone ignores the "Don't operate machinery" warning, they know nobody is going to give up driving their car, so now they just are realistic and say be careful when you drive.   or just drink a lot of caffeine to offset the dizziness.  oh ya, my logic isn't great because who is realistically going to give up caffeine.

Why would you want anything else?  Just give me a Charger and I'll be happy.

TruckDriver

I was told I was to avoid any caffine while I am taking these. Which, that's fine because to much caffine gives me bad heartburn anyway.
