Steering wheel disassembly

Hey everyone

Am trying to get my steering column taken apart
And am having an issue getting the little plastic cap out
Of the center of the horn ring
Any tips?
Its plastic and i dont want to break it

what type of stering wheel is it?

Its the original steering wheel with the horn ring in the middle
It has the round emblem in the middle of the ring with the polara
symbol embossed in it

Use a small flat bladed screw driver (pocket size), look closely around edge. You should see a small slot, insert blade of driver, & prey up easy. Once you get the edge up, work the blade around, (slidding it under the piece easy, clock wise or counter clock wise). That's how I did mine when I changed wheels in my 70. Someone else may have a better idea, feel free to jump in.

also a hair dryer will help soften the vinyl on the pad to get the medallion out
