MCG Cars in Yards B5 'Bird in CT

I was reading my March 2013 issue of Mopar Collectors Guide and they had this B5 Blue Superbird in the "Cars in Yards" section.  The article stated that the photo and info was sent in back in 2001 but was lost in the shuffle and they came across it while cleaning up the office for a move.  Anyways, the car was supposedly parked in someone's yard in Connecticut and, at the time of the photo, was last on the road in 1981.  It is a 440-4bbl, auto, bench seat car.  The lady at the house said the car was not for sale and they had no plans for the car. 

Does anyone know anything about this car???

Yup,a few miles from me,remember driving by it to check it out.Then was gone one day,stories from the local cruise night Mopar crowd say house was getting forclosed on,and it got stolen.Maybe says that in 2013 march MCG,did'nt get mine yet !!!!

So many of these yard cars have now been rescued, restored, or are at least under cover.    A LOT of old pics circulate on the net and people assume that they are current.

I hope it is being restored by someone who will love it!   Such a shame to see any collector car sit like that.

A very common theme amongst people who have cars like this in their yard, the proverbial "no plans for it, it can just sit there for all I care' or 'I'll get around to it one day' atiitude. Truly a sad state of affairs.

vintage tires... I like the fact that so many of the old school raised white letter tires looked so cool back then, i had a set that said "GRAB N GO"  and "L-60 DRAG MASTER"  I wonder if they were reproduced if they would be a hot seller?? a lot of the Mopars we have all drug home over the years still have some of those vintage tires and mags on them.

Now doesn't that just beat everything? They lost their house because they obviously couldn't afford to keep it, yet they let a valuable collector car sit and rot and refused to sell it. Some people are strange.
