Do you like the 1st Amendment?  I'm sure you do.  So how do you think that the American people are guaranteed that right?  By the 2nd Amendment of course.  

If you anti-gun types don't like guns, that's fine, it's your RIGHT, but you damn well better respect the right that helps guarantee all of your other Constitutional rights in the first place.

Sometimes I get the idea that some people would've prefered that the American colonies hadn't defeated the British and established independence and the good 'ol U.S. of A....

Hey Drache, Thought you might enjoy a pic of an unusual AR I picked up a few years ago. It is a pre-ban Colt Sporter lower with a Colt M4 Upper installed. I kinda prefer fixed-stock AR's anyway and this one is a fine shooter. The second pic is just a little "teaser" as I know these snubbies are not legal to buy in Canada anymore. The Python is a 1965 manufactured one !

All of them look nice. I have always preferred the A2 stock with removeable handle (A3) upper design and no rails on the forend. Just old-school, I guess.

nice stuff. i was out looking for ammo last night at the farm and home supply. seen some 17 caliber shells. asked the guy about them because i didnt know of a 17. what a sweet rifle he came out with. i was instantly sold on it. will pick it up tomorrow after nine.

The .17 HMR is akin to .22 winchester magnum and the .17 HM2 is akin to the .22LR.

both fire flat as laser beams. amazing accuracy from a rimfire. Never should have sold mine....

they had 2 styles, a camo that looked like a plain 22 rifle, and the one i chose which was black, with a hand gun grip and an open stock. nice longer length, just not quite as long as my 22 rifles.

yep, cant wait to try it out. i really liked the feel of it. i live right by the olin factories that make winchester shells. they have an awesome shooting range. plus a sweet  trap range. the son shot there on the high school shooting team. think we will have to run over and play.

Well, in Canada there was no ban of certain types of weapons based on what accessories they had hanging off them was ever passed into law, I suppose. In the U.S, an "Assault Weapons Ban" was passed in 1994 that also included 10 round mags maximum for pistols. The 1994 ban had a 10 year lifespan and had to be renewed by Congress to stay in effect. Congress let it expire in 2004. This particular AR in my previous post was put together from a pre-ban lower (made and sold before 1994) and a M4 upper (put together during the ban years) which had parts on it that you could not buy on over-the-counter rifles during that 10 year span.  Stupid ban then and stupid ban proposal now!
