Music and your musclecar drive

I know we've discussed a bunch what kind of music we like when we drive and I know there are some who always repspond to those threads that they don't need tunes when they drive, I just wondered what the unscientific breakdown was.

I don't need music. At work in the dump truck, I rather listen to the diesel engine. If the car has a nice growl to it, I am the same way. Only when I drive something that is super quiet, I listen to the radio.

I do like music in my car most of the time, but have days when I want to listen to that sweet music coming out the tail pipes.  I do enjoy having an aftermarket stereo and speakers to play music and the original am radio hooked to the dash speaker for nostalgic am band ball games.

either or, sometimes yes, and sometimes no. but when the music is on, it will be old rock. grand funk, pink floyd, jethro tull, deep purple to name a few.

In the Dart if I'm cruising back to my home town or on any road trip, it's usually old rock like the Dazed and Confused soundtrack. If I'm around town or revving my car a lot it's engine noise

If I'm just out cruising, no music ever. If I'm on a solo road trip or going more than about 45 minutes on the highway I'll generally have some sort of music on (assuming the car has a radio!).

I'm pretty much a "sound of exhaust" guy, unless I'm in my soft-top 440/4spd Ramcharger. It has been proven repeatably, that it does everything better, with "Shoot To Thrill" melting the amps (and ammeter).

Either way, but pointless.  It started with Radio delete and then I installed a radio in the mid 1980's  which was stolen after only a few months.    Then I swapped in an old AM radio that didn't work.  Now back to a radio delete plate.

ac/dc rocks but if on a long drive I'll listen to George Thorogood  every time long gone,gear jammer, who do you love etc etc lots of good  driving music

Generally i like to just listen to the car 70% of the time then its always good to throw in some Soundgarden or AIC 

Cool car with some good riffs completes a ride in the Dodge for me

pretty much have a restored AM radio with an added MP3 port to hook up my MP3 player with FM receiver.  I have some early Aerosmith, classic oldies, rock, etc and some of the music I listened to when I was in high school playing when Im out and about with the charger.  There are also times where I just leave it off to listen to the sound of the exhaust note!

one of the first things i did was rempve the "system" from the car. it had 2 12's in the trunk. it has 2 amps as well as speakers in the doors and 6x9s in the rear. i left the 6x9s cuse thats the onlty thing that was installed half way decent. he hacked the shit out of the dash harness to hook it up and it was hooked up completly wrong. theres all new wiring in it now and i have no desire to put a radio in it. im more than happy to listen to the motor and or the electric cutouts

If were to have a radio hooked up I would definitely have to agree it would have to be Dazed and confused sound track. As of right now my charger is pretty loud and sounds bad ass
