Hey third gen folks, getting the rats nest of wiring streightened out.
I know this ground goes somewhere in here, which one of the several spots is correct for 73 - 400?
And what kind of screw am I looking for, phillips or hex?
Also the harness has a clip that goes into one of the holes on the inner fender, the one closest to the front or one back?

Nacho-RT74

harness should get two clips to attach on both holes.

the nut is the one just right below the opening.

Actually there is a clip molded/taped into the harness. Came off that way. I think it goes into the hole one back from the front one. I believe (and I am asking because I'm not sure) that the strap (similar to this) goes into the front one and the one closest to the brake booster.
But again, I am asking because I'm not sure. The harness only has one clip attached to it btw.

I believe you are right about the taped one, I will check mine in the morning and there should be another one right beside the washer resevoir also.

Nacho-RT74

Nop, as far I know BOTH tapped ones must be used on that area. The strap goes around proportioning valve area

OK... editing...

on BATTERY area you must use TAPPED ONE... you'll find another hole further front, and use two of those.

the rear hole on pic is for the wiring channel clips ( metallic pieces )... Is a plastic channel usually broken and missing what runs underneath the washer bottle... will try to find a pic

Mine does not have the black piece, it has a connector that is ODZ's pic.

Don't forget Nacho, 73-4 is different from the other years.  They use fewer clips and straps. My headlamp harness looks never to have been touched.  Still has the original cloth loom on the ends (beat-up as it is) and still taped.  I do not believe it has ever been tampered with, and it has ONLY one clip taped in it.
