From the description it seems they went all out on this one, but my dial up prevents me from seeing all the pics.

The engine compartment detailing looks nice, just not original.  I don't know anyone who would pay $65k for a 383/auto Charger.  For that kind of money at least put a radio in it!

That ad makes this one in California look like a steal:

There's no radio in the red car???

I'll have to check the pics when I'm at work, that's too damn funny.

$65k is a LOT of money for a 383 car with the wrong wheels, etc.  :Twocents:

Absolutely overpriced, I would expect a gorgerous R/T for that price.  The other 4 spd car, seems more in line, maybe a few grand of padding, would be a good car for 35-40K, mainly for the 4 spd.   Has nice options too.
too many to list!

I'm at work now looking at the red car, it's a real nice car, not perfect but a great driver.  They could've installed the radio and get the finish piece under the glove box to hide that massive hose but at that price it better come with a log cabin.

The other car's much better but still way high.  The seller is too probably....

That's how my car came from the factory, F8 green in and out with a white top.  A real white 'white hat special'   :icon_smile_big:

Another 383 4 spd, not too far from me, has been for sale for a very long time.  I told him a while ago the tailpanel was painted wrong and he was going to have it fixed.  Not sure if he ever did.

It's a dealer.....Nuff said....Prolly has at least $30K worth of padding already.

I'm in Detroit too and have been casually looking for months, that blue one keeps getting reposted on Craigslist every few weeks.  Same with the red car, it also gets crossposted to the Chicago area Craigslist.

Being honest, I really want the green/white one and I keep checking to see if it's still for sale, has been up since September.  Cool options with 4spd/AC/power windows, and I love the GG1 dark racing green with white top/stripe too.  It was most likely a $30k car before the dealer bought it, put disc brakes, a pistol grip, and a 452" stroker in there.    If they would come down to mid 30's I'd probably end up buying it, but the sensible argument is in this market who will realistically pay 35++ for a non-R/T 2nd gen that doesn't have a 426 between the fenders?

2nd-gen Charger + big block + 4spd + dealership = always at least $10k overpriced.  Often $15 or more.

I generally don't knit-pick these ludicrous ads, but that was my first thought too...

Just in case anybody is interested, I had a friend of mine stop by and look at the green car pictured above.  I'm definitely passing on it for the price they are asking, but it ran/drove very well.

was the price even negotiable?

Not down to what it's worth, IMHO.  It needs a surprising amount of metalwork to be perfect.

Just paint it orange, put a confederate flag on top, add some 01 numbers on the side and bingo! Some fool will buy it.

Even being the incorrect year(1968), and 4-speed, It's still gotta suck that painted up like the GL brings more than say a "plain jane" Green one. :pity:
