...........and probably will never do again.

First a little background on the situation. My Dad has been plugging away on a 68 for 3 years now,he got it ready for final primer about 2 months ago. I shot the primer on it for him. He used to do body work as a profession ,but now sells insurance. Ive been working on a 68 R/T and I tend to get addicted to my projects. I got it ready for final primer a few weeks ago.

Now shift to to last Thursday. I planned to take this week off to block out and paint my Dads Charger. My goal was to have mine sittin there ready with the trunk painted etc,so when the time came I would be ready to just block it out , mask and shoot. Dads trunk wasn't painted yet either So we got them ready and shot both trunks last Thursday night.TWO Charger trunks in one day. Kinda cool. IMO. We started Block sanding it Saturday and it went really well,so My mind started churning and what it came up with was: " This is going so good that I'm going to try to get them both blocked out and painted while im off on vacation". So we got right after it and I got his and all its parts painted on Monday. Then I turned My focus to My 68. I spent the next two days getting it read to paint and I shot it yesterday(Thursday). I am tired and this vacation makes me need a vacation.

I will try to get some pics of the results later. Right now I think I'm going to nap away the rest of my last day of vaca.

When I was a body man I did the same thing and I will never do it again.  In fact, I've been away from auto body for several years now and don't plan on ever going back.  I still love the job, but only on my own terms, ie as a hobby.  Vacations ain't vacations when you're working, even if it's your own car.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
