My brother said the guy in VA had a white Challenger RT10?

odd. never heard of that.

Three possibilities (in order of likelihood)

1) A misunderstanding on what your brother heard or what the guy said. Maybe the guy meant to say "it's a Challenger R/T, '10" (as in it's a 2010). Kind of an odd way to say it, but not unheard of). Or maybe the guy doesn't even know what he has.

2) the guy did some backyard re-badging- maybe got the hood, etc in the aftermarket and decided that since he had some of the parts from a MOPAR 10, he might as well call it an "R/T 10". I've seen this with guys who, for example, have V6 chargers but put SRT-8 wheels, hoods, spoilers, etc on them and then (most of them jokingly) say they drive an SRT-6 and sometimes even put the badges on.

3) It's an expensive custom car in which someone actually put a viper engine and whatnot. A form of badge engineering too, but on a serious level. This is the most unlikely.

My understanding that the "Drag pack" Challengers came with a NON running Hemi that is carb'd, No rear suspension (Only a Trailer tow dolly looking thing with wagon wheels under the car to transport it), No wiring harness to engine, No air bags, NOT legal for Street use, NO HVAC system, sound deadner,etc... All this for the low, low, price of $30-$40K.

Only Professional Drag racers can even get 'em.

I thought the "Mopar 10" was an appearance package for 2010
As was the "mopar 11" and the "mopar 12" for 2012 and was available on chargers as well?

Mopar 10 = Challengers
Mopar 11 = Chargers
Mopar 12 = not sure?

Yup ponch has it right. And the Mopar 12 is apparently an appearance option on the 300.

Maybe the jeep this year?

Or the dart?

I just googled the mopar 12 300 and... :rotz:

The 300 is kind of a "grown up" car, so that type of brash decaled out modding just doesn't look right on one. It's gotta be done more tastefully.

I like your guesses for the Mopar 13. I'd say the Jeep, but wouldnt surprise if it was the Dart either - though I don't know whod want to buy one.

I've driven a V10 and a V8 Drag Pak Challenger and I can tell you that both definitely had running engines in them.  The suspension was in them but the cage was not so there was a strict warning in the cars that they were not to be hammered on.  In fact I had to sign off that the driver informed me of such and I had to make the driver who picked them up sign off.  Both were between Detroit and final destination

the class they are destined for will determine the type of cage , right??
