Meh, looks about as boring as the one before, and the one before and the one...oh you get the gest.

Another vote for the classic Vette here, nothing like a split window!
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

Another view.  Doesn't really make it look better though

does nothing for me anymore....the only body style I ever liked in the Corvette series was 1963 through 1967

Bryan

I second that or third.

x4 on the 63-67...Got one.....love at first sight when I saw one new....but I do like most years as well......except the late 70's and 80's

I've never owned anything but a MoPar. Can you say that?

The back makes me think of are 2011 camaro

Iron Chef

I like the sharp edges and the Ferrari look to the car.  I'll be trading in my C6 Grand Sport when the second model year comes out.  I want to see what their Z06 package looks like.

BTW...people bitched and moaned when the disappearing headlights went away with the C6.  Now it looks just like a part of the car.  I suspect the same will happen with the tail end, although I don't see that much Camaro in it.  Maybe a few design cues but that's about it.
Most of your life should be "off the record."

Here's the convertible version.  It looks better with the roof off in my opinion

TruckDriver

I dont like convertables at all myself with the only acception the Shelby Cobra's.

The exhaust does look like trumpets  :o

A383Wing

I keep waiting for it to "transform" into something a little more likable on the eyes

I would never own one of those

I rather have a Corvette over a Viper only cause I do not like the V10 engines at all. I think it would be a better car with big V8's instead.

Really?  I much prefer the Viper personally but totally get that it isn't for everyone. (nothing is right?)

ACUDANUT

I will take either, if you donate it to me.  :icon_smile_big:

The V10 is just too powerful therse no car that can handle it thats why the V8 is probably better suited!  Even pro drivers are scared to drive the Viper due to the engine being too powerful.

I seen them run on Pass Time, and they weren't really much faster then the Camaros or Mustangs, and a lot of times, they were slower. I'm not impressed by the V10 at all. Plus I don't like how they sound.

As a Dodge guy, I'd have to have the Viper.  Collectability, I'd rather have the Viper.  I think the Corvette has become too refined.  30 mpg sounds great on the highway, but I see them being overlooked recently.  They're becoming more of a midlife crisis retreat than something an up and coming showoff would buy.  They're good if you want cheap performance, but they've lost thier appeal that they worked so hard to get.  They maybe Chevy's flagship, but they're nothing more than a fancy 2 dr Cadillac imo.  Buy something different if your looking for the wow factor. :Twocents:

Ghoste

Thats kind of how I've started to see them too.  I don't know exactly but they managed to get into the performance and style and price range of many other sports cars and yet somehow forget about image.  Real image, not the kind the marketing people try to generate but the one that resonates in the public.

Every time I've seen a new corvette around here over the last several years...

It's being driven by a middle aged woman...

ACUDANUT

That's because she got it in the Divorse settlement.

A new Corvette is an old mans car. That is who buys them. Pay the man his money and get a really fast car. I would love to see Chevy build a plain Jane Corvette with no options. Price it in the  $40's, 450 HP, great brakes, and off you go. Why don't they do that anymore? Even Chrysler. Put a 392 Hemi in a stripped down Chally and sell it cheap, just like the old days.
1972 Charger Topper Special, 360ci, 46RH OD trans, 8 3/4 sure grip with 3.91 gear, 14.93@92 mph.
1973 Charger Rallye, 4 speed, muscle rat. Whatever engine right now?

The manufacturers won't build a car like that anymore because they have to build a car that will appeal to the masses.   Us hotrodders that want a stripped down hot rod with big engines are a very small niche.
