Cam Tech Question

Looking to buy a new camshaft, but not sure if its worth the effort, its only a step up from what I have now XR286R Comp Cams,
-rpm range 3000-6500
-lobe separation 110
-centerline 106
-duration @ .050 in.248 ex.254
-valve lift in.576 ex. 582

Looking to buy a new shaft XR292R Comp Cams
-rpm range 3500-6600
-lobe separation 110
-centerline 106
-duration @ .050 in.254 ex.260
-valve lift in.582 ex.588

How much more power will it make with just a cam change :scratchchin: so far best time in 1/4, 11.21 @ 119 will the camshaft allone take me to 11.00s  :shruggy:
68 Charger, slowly in the works, 451 c.i. approx. 535 hp @ the flywheel, so far best time in the 1/4
11.21 @ 119 mph, full exhaust, stock suspension, 4:10s @ 3640 pounds.

there are a lot of un answered questions,,,,head flow #s with intake,open headers? gear,converter,how much does the car weigh ???

i think it might pick up 12 to 15 hp ?  might run slower if the coverter is not loose enough

I don't think there's a big enough change (in cam profiles) to result in a 2 tenth reduction in ET.  :Twocents:

Fwiw, my old 446 used a 264@.050 custom solid (flat tappet) and that combo made peak power at 6000-6100 rpm  :yesnod:

You need at least a 10* increase at .050 to make any appreciable difference. If you're using a dual plane intake manifold that is hurting it up top as well.  ;)
