Challenger SRT8 production vs the other guys

The other srt thread got me thinking.

Is it me or is maa mopar/fiat doing the same thing with the challenger as they did back in the day with the muscle cars ?

Producing only a handful compared to gm/ford and more expensive.

I would think they would have sold a boatload of srt8's if they made more of them and lowered the price.

The dealers prey on the fact only x number were made in such a color. Already trying to create a buzz with them while they are new.

Thoughts ?

history has a tendency to repeat it self.  The Challenger was built to compete with the successful retro mustang.  Hmm that sounds kinda familiar.

I can't see how they would make more money with the small number of cars built vs the amount of camaro/mustangs cranked out.
