Just found out the sill molding (code M25), which I believe is on the rocker panel, is optional on the SE so you might not have had that on your car.
Yeah I'm looking for the decklid trim.
Chrome is pertty. The only water my car sees is when it's washed and then it's taken out for a high speed drying!  :coolgleamA: :vert:

I don't think That I was going to add the rocker moldings anyway. I thought I found the trunk lid molding but it turned out that the company made a mistake and it was for a challenger Not a charger.
The carrier company that is supposed to take my sold car is coming on Friday. I can finally put the car in the garage on Friday but that doesn't Help me now because my car is covered with snow and ice and it's killing me.

Even worse, Is that the title was mailed and it seems that the Virginia post office may have lost the Package that the dealer sent me containing the title. I was able to track it to Virginia post office and it was sent to a sorting facility . It never left that facility according to the tracking number. I've called the post office on both ends but no luck. The package was supposed to be here the eighth, last Friday.  :icon_smile_angry:

The wreath molding that I bought Is used but I'm going to paint it To improve the look. I don't know that there is much else that can be done other than painting it. I'm Going to search to see if there is a high-quality special kind of long-lasting paint that I can use. I'm sure there's something out there. But first things first I have to try to recover the title.

yeap those are the one I must "have"... I hope. Just the wreath. I guess is the same piece from 70/72 ( only years available )

The eBay seller that has reproduction wreaths Is.    Vansautollic     $45 plus $5 shipping . A crazy price for such a small item. I was lucky enough to find used one in decent shape for $20 plus shipping.

I also found on eBay , the charger se emblem on the dashboard . The E bay sellers Are asking a lot for just the – emblem In warn or damaged condition. I did find one seller selling the entire woodgrain – insert with the air conditioning vents. I made an offer and was able to take the entire dash panel with the charger se emblem attached four $80 ,shipped to my door. I will take the emblem and re- sell  the rest of  dash insert  later. I will probably have to freshen up the emblem though.
I Was also Lucky enough to find cowl Grill that's missing on my car. I picked that up on eBay for about $20 plus shipping. There is NOT many people selling them and NOT many people buying them either so when you find that part that you need you have to make sure you grab it. There was only one other bidder and I was able to outbid them. I sure hope it wasn't any of the nice folks here :shruggy: lol

Nice looking car.  Very clean, although the colors kinda clash.

Yeah, I thought about a repaint but the paint is pretty good even up close . I've come to the conclusion that the green will stay . I  like the gold  and was thinking about adding a black stripe and black out the bulge hood. Black and gold in my thoughts is a cool combination.. if I did that , the only thing that might be standing in my way is the big white elephant in the room (white top ) .  I can mentally separate the exterior from the interior .  Will black gold and a white top clash?  Hmmmm  !  Your opinions are welcome . You can't hurt the cars feelings. ::)

Another thought on the round wreath emblems for the roof . Based on what I saw while looking for chargers, the ( full ) vinyl roof treatments seem to have the words (special addition ) along with the round wreath emblem . I'll have to research it more.

The Special Edition script is for the '72 version of the SE, '71's didn't get the script just the wreath (not my car).

Very nice car you have by the way, was watching it on eBay.  :2thumbs:

I just got all of them for my 72 SE NOS.

I got the script emblems from Mitchell's NOS a long time ago.And the c pillar SE with the wreath was from Blue star. The small emblems on the bottom was from ebay.I made a mistake and thought they were for c pillar.

Wow those are great. The original packaging too. it appears that the  emblems with the script  are larger than the other ones shown.

The script emblems I have are the same size as the emblems you see on the black charger. If that's what your saying?

brigond

What I'm saying is I thought that the script emblems would be the same size as all the other wreath emblems. I noticed the two smaller emblems down below by the original packages in the picture. I'm assuming those are from other areas like the trunk lid . I didn't realize there were different size Wreath emblems.

Knew it was. Also known as white metal. Didn't know it couldn't be refinished though I take it.
Bummer. Must be why so many just leave the trim off and why I see so many out there w/pitted trim on a good looking paint job.

Ok, throwing in another monkey wrench into the mix. Under vinyl roof in the data book info I posted states vinyl canopy top comes w/SE. Full vinyl top available on all other models.
I like the full top though on yours, wouldn't change it, unless you wanna go w/black to go w/the stripe & hood.  :icon_smile_big:

Wow, gold on green? Not exactly a chocolate and peanut butter type of combination IMO but it looks nice overall.

71se383.......I'm thinking that the full roof option on my car  was added many years ago . there is very distinctive trim molding  that comes with the full roof . knowing what I know now about getting a trim for these cars . it would probably be near impossible to get this molding . even the back window trim is painted white . the trim appears to show its age but the vinyl top is new .

What is the correct color for the engine block ? Blue or red ? I've seen them in both colors . I'm going to be detaling  the engine over the summer .

As I said I think my car is about as original as you'll find out there and the engine was orange/red. Funny thing is the water pump is blue. It has a chrysler mark on it and there is no overspray on the engine. I think it might have been replaced with a mopar part sometime over the coarse of it's 72,000+ miles.  :icon_smile_big:
I'm told I have some dealer purchased chrome valve covers as they have the wire looms.

I'm not sure of what the small ones are for. I screwed up and thought they were the c pillar emblems. I decided to keep them and put one on the deck lid & maybe one on the dash next to the SE emblem.

You wanna sell the other small one? The pic of the red car earlier was the first pic I've seen w/one on the deck lid. I like it and have been looking for other pics.

There is great old video on YouTube . It's an old  review of a blue 71se on the track. I kept pausing it to see emblems placement. I noticed the wreath on the deck lid also. I also noticed the fender emblems that say charger , have the arrow  emblem Next to the word charger as apposed to below. It should come up easily if you search it.
