Would have liked to see Georgia go over Alabama (or any other team over 'Bama, for that matter), but since that didn't happen, I'm rooting for the Irish.  Would be nice to see Notre Dame return to actual relevancy again, and also nice to see a team not from the SEC win the big game.
Never underestimate the power of stupid people in large groups.  Especially if they have access to the internet.

Well crap.  The Capital One Bowl was a much better game than this. :eek2:

The BCS should have put the University of Oregon up against Alabama. I think that would have been a much better game.

No question. ND looked like a damn high school team out there.

I only saw the 2nd half but holy cow! Did Alabama run on them like that the entire game? Every time Bama did a run play they advanced the ball 4-12 yards.

This game makes an excellent arguement for a playoff system. :Twocents:

To a degree I concur. But could you imagine how long that would take? There are 119 1-A division college football teams in the US compared to 32 in the NFL.

I agree.. Maybe only have the Champions of the various Conferences head it off ( then again, the SEC would only have one contender instead of multiple )....

I was thinking top 16 teams.  4 extra weeks.

They could make it work if they really wanted to but I, as most people, believe the BCS has an agenda. They enjoy the power. And I'm not totally sure about this but I think there is more voting power on the east coast.

4 team playoff is perfect.  One extra game is reasonable.  Keep in mind these are students who get no $ payment and have to go out and risk life-long injuries in order for the NCAA fat cats to make TONS of money.

Nothing like having a monopoly on an amatuer sport that makes billions and you don't even have to pay the workers lol.  I could see a 16 game playoff happening but only b/c of $
