Paul, good on you, buddy!!!

I got extended by a month...not planning on it...boss at home not overly pleased, especially with the anti-Danish cartoon crowds lobbing crap and who knows what over our compound wall!  It's getting about time for me too, change at the last minute (extra month and a half) catches you for a loop...

...on the plus side, that gives me a bit more cash for when I come home...hmmmm....maybe some Indy EZ heads, Engle KV-3 cam and nice rockers will get added to the list of goodies I currently have under my bunk? ;)

Cheers,
Duey

Thanks everyone! :patriot:
I was glad to do my part, and I can say that I had met some of the finest people our countries have to offer over there. Especially G Coy 2 RCR and the soldiers I served with from the US 173rd Abn Bde.

Duey: Stay strong my brother, not much longer and you'll be back.  Like you said, more toys for you and nicer weather for your post-deployment leave (to work on the rump-rump-rump ;) )  I like the CDN Patriot - Smiley!

I just spent the morning opening up boxes of stuff I'd bought over the internet from the last couple of months...MTF.  ;D

Bull, that name sounds familliar.  We Canucks got an ex-ANA (Afghan Army) mine-sniffing dog for compound security and we droped by one of the US bases where the working dogs are kept to see the vet.

Oh yeah, I'm doing the EFI thing.  Just gotta decide on which company's to use, but that's still a ways off, I'll have to build the engine first ;)

Things aren't that f'd up, I'm just starting to sleep normal hours again!
This is our second deployment, so getting back to the married life shouldn't be that hard, I hope ;D so far so good.   LOL.

That's too bad about not going, but on the other hand, who really wants to go to that shithole...
That's cool about the police, which service did you apply for?  Peel?  Stick with the plan.

I'm still not sure about the EFI.  I know that's the way I'm going, but when...
I'm pretty sure on the Momar EFI.  We'll see.

Glad you made it back safe Paul.  I'm here in the middle of Bagram, flying my arse off for OCF Grey.

Duey has tried at least THREE times to get together with me, but we just can't seem to connect just yet.  He's gotten as close as the gate, but I'm still holding out hope that I can shake that Canuck's hand and bring out my laptop, to show pics of my family- including the Charger.

This scenery here is truely beautiful, with all the mountains that surround us...too bad were up to our arses in "Injun Country" over here.

For all that are still here, keep us- and our families, in your prayers!

ALWAYS. :patriot:

It is quite breathtaking seeing all the mountains etc.  I never made it up to Bagram, but I heard that there's areas that are tree'd and there's lakes and rivers there.

This is on top of TV hill in lovely downtown Kabul it was a very smoggy, dusty day:

LOL  ;D  I'll be up at least a few more times over the next few weeks, Wednesday may be a go, and Friday for sure this week, then I'm out of "town" for a bit then I'll be back up.  We'll try and get the Dodgecharger.com crowd in Baghram pic taken if it's the last thing we do... :yesnod:  I'd love to see pics of your little girl and the steel beast too!

Chuck, Peel's a good crowd!  Lots of guys there that I used to fly in another life, god guys all around and a good Force!

Bradley, don't worry...I'm up tomorrow p.m. and Friday from mid-morning to mid-afternoon, then off to KAF for a bit then I'll be back up again.  You have my cell #, so you can give that a try tomorrow around 0900-1000z and see where I'm at, or PM me a DSN that I can call you at when I know exact timings.

If that doesn't work, I'll just have to come visit you in Florida when we're both back...I'm taking over a flight at the SOAS this summer and have plenty of reason to come down to your neck of the woods! :icon_smile_big:

I applied for that as well (CSOR), but due to operational blah-blah-blah 2ASG troops aren't allowed this year.
