Original CA car sold in Southern CA (Pasadena) - still registered to original owner...  car is in probate and legal will sign off (judge) in 10 days so I can pick it all up.

Numbers matching drivetrain is included - original paint, original interior     downside is they removed the engine and painted the engine bay black...    yuck.   but I think i'll stomach it for a bit....

The plan is to get the engine and trans back in and drive it as it sits.

Last time the car was on the road was 1988....

Oh - the only rust on this thing is a couple pin holes under the vinyl top above the rear window...          floors = solid.  trunk = solid.       Everything is solid.

Craigslist....      description was "1970 Dodge Charger R/T"  with a photo...        everyone thought it was a scam -  I went today and looked at it - decided on a price and we shook hands.  I have to call monday and make the official offer to his lawyer so she can submit papers to the judge.  all in all a long process but I would be getting it for a GOOD DEAL

Sweet find.

You should try to get a industrial steam cleaner to try and get black paint out of the engine bay. I bet the original paint is still underneath.

Look at this thread to see what I'm talking about

looks like a good option -  Will probably go that route and try to get the engine bay stripped of the black paint.  :2thumbs:
