Australian Daytona

I was reading through an old mag and came across this Daytona in Australia. I'm sure it has been discussed here before but I thought I'd post the article. It was for sale in 2002 for 140k.

What happened to the car? Is it still here? History of where it came from?

This car is owned by John Pappas aka onebadsuperbird. The car is still like the article and is here in Michigan.

I've read the thread and see it's back in the US. Not many cars have such an extensive past let alone a documented one at that. Pretty cool that it was left untouched since leaving Australia. Too bad it doesn't get taken out more as I'm sure it catches more attention then a normal Daytona.
