Anyone seen or have any info-pics of a black - white gut and top 70 hemi challenger.I saw this car two times in northern Ontario (Can.) and never got a pic of it.The word was it was one of the cars that belonged to Reggie Jackson that was burnt up in the big warehouse fire he had  several years ago.It was said that the car was put back together with all NOS sheet metal and so on.Not an E body fan really but with that color combo on a hemi drop top it just looks awsome. And why don`t you hear about these cars going for the BIG $$$$ If I am not mistaken the hemi challenger was a one year only in a convert .
Previously owned Daytona XX29L9B423239 - f8 - white int. - power windows.

You don't hear about it because most real collectors like to remain private. They'll pay whatever it takes to get a certain car but they don't usually want to advertise what they paid. Almost anything that's truly rare won't be sold (or advertised) publicly.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

I believe there were 11 Hemi Challenger converts built in 1970. It was a one year only in the convert. They did build 71 Hemi Challenger R/T hardtops.

And if you mean, why doesn't the Challenger get the media buzz that the Cuda does, who knows for sure?  The Barracuda was out for several years before the Challenger of course and the Cuda moniker started as street slang for the cars so it did have a running headstart on the muscle history bit.

I have heard of one of the 11 being in Kansas, but it has been a few years since I have talked to the guy.  He would only sell it for a hemi cuda convertible (this was back in 1998)..............
