Hello everyone, I am new to this site so I hope i am doing this correctly.Just picked up a 69 charger that has an aluminum wing on it not sure but I think its from a superbird because the flip top gas cap on quarter panel is filled in so wing fits. Any input on the wing, what it is worth. Here is a picture.

Ghoste

Well it does look like a Superbird wing.  Welcome to the group and someone will have an idea of value.  I take it then that you plan to remove it?

Not sure which way to go with the car yet.I am still getting more charger parts from a 10'x20' storage unit that came with the deal. I would like to send more pictures but they are all over 200k except the one I just sent. Is there a way to send pictures that are larger than 200k? Thanks White.

Ghoste

Not really.  You could host them from another site and link to here but your best bet is to resize them.

Thanks for the info on the picture uploads. I will do that tomorrow have to get ready for Christmas. Take care everyone.

Looks cool.  :2thumbs:  Certainly a fun project.  As to the value of the wing, I'm not sure.  What I DO know, is that if you want to sell it, there will be a line up to buy it - me included.   :popcrn:

Welcome to the site.  If you decide to get rid of the wing, there will be quite a few people interested in it.  What's your plans for the Charger?

moparstuart

if its a rear superbird wing the going rate is about 2500.00

Back in the day a yellow 69 charger ran around and also sat at a Bristol PA gas station with a superbird wing.Any traces of yellow on your 69 charger.I think I see some on the firewall and 1/4 caps

I inquired on this board for that charger car and found past owners

why is the electrical meter on the inside of the garage wall?   :scope:

Yes this charger was yellow 318 car was owned by a body shop owner who street raced it in the late 70's in southwest pa. It sat in the body shop till it closed in 2008 then I found it last month at his house when he was having a garge sale. Do not know why the electrical meter is on the inside of my gararge.

Nowhere right now, the car was in the process to be converted to a super stock drag racer in the 1980's, car has been tubbed and was in the process of relocating the gas filler in the side of the quarter panel just like nascar cars. What is nice is the original frame is still there and not all hacked upped and frame connecters have been installed.

odcics2

You should measure the horizontal stabilizer.  It 'may' have been trimmed to fit....     :shruggy:
Good to know in case you ever decide to sell it...   :Twocents:
