not if you seal them correctly...obviously you are doing yours wrong

Actually I've been leak free for a couple of years.  With the car up on the lift for the winter, I've noticed a bit of a leak (engine oil) coming off the tranny/converter inspection plate.  I'm thinking rear main seal.  Replaced it five years ago......
