Am I plum crazy?

Had the car for a couple years now -- first off just cleaned everything up, made sure she was running well, minor stuff, and detailed the engine, and had to put her away pretty much right after I got it. The next spring, I managed to get the whole back end, tail lights and such rewired, cleaned up, removed the tar soaked carpet from the trunk, few more minor things under the hood -- got her good to drive for that year. Still more to do though... put her away for another year... last summer, after discovering she needed some floor work, I sent her off to get that done. And what better time to rip out all the interior and redo it  :icon_smile_big: have that stuff all pretty much ready to go. However, moved last year too...so, the car spent the entire summer out at the place I had do the metal work on the floors (Remuda)... skipping skipping skipping... walk arounds and talking and inspection, and to answer all my concerns about suspension etc... I did what had to be done, and had all the suspension done. Poly bushings etc, KYBs all around, new leafs, Hotchkis front and rear sways, and sitting up in my attic now are 4 new 17x8 Torq Thrust originals with 255/50/R17 Fuzion tires sitting on them....

So...I've been debating what to do to this car that (I claimed needed no work, and I wasn't really going to do that much to it) on the outside since I got it.

It had a bee stripe on it, and was plum crazy originally. I've since been gathering more goodies for it -- new decklid, bulge hood, hideaways, all new Mopar black wrinkle finish stuff for under the hood, new carpet, headliner, and new seats with plum crazy inserts. Also had a vinyl roof -- which, up until tonight, I planned on keeping -- after chopping this, I'm not so sure...

I've drawn just about every combination I could think of to pick a direction for the outside as the car now sits in my garage waiting to be stripped and painted...

This is my latest thought and wondering what you folks thought of it... thinking the lighter colour would be actual plum crazy, with a darker tone based on that -- just several shades darker....with a shortened version of the '71 side stripe...

PHOTOCHOP OF AN IDEA, BUT THIS IS NOT FROM MY CAR :)

It makes a man step back and look twice! I kinda like it myself. Not to sure about the ground effects on the sides though. Go for it!

Thanks for all the feedback -- I tried to block out those ground effects and get rid of the flares -- intent was not to have anything like that, but some of the shading is still there now that I look at it. But I was kind of interested in that two-tone scheme just following the natural lines.

Once again, thanks for the feedback!

I like everything about it, except the "gouge your head open" shackles hangin' down.

Haha...yeah...none of that here :) I should have chopped them out...
