Looking for info on power window reg install and switches

I found these two links which will be very helpful when I switch from manual regs to power regs but does anyone have any more info on how to do the swap?

For instance, I need to take the round coil springs from the manual regs and put them on the power regs but how do I tension these and when exactly?  Do I assemble the whole thing, motors and all, and install it as one big piece?  Is that even possible?

Also, how does the wiring loom run in cars that came with power windows?  I know I need to drill a big hole in each door and a-pillar, will I need to take the doors off?  

As far as the switches go, I would like to take them apart and make sure everything works as it should before I install them.  I can only assume there's small springs in the switches that make the push button bounce back, any way to replace these?

At this moment, I'm not even sure how to remove the connectors from the switches.  These things should come with an instruction book!    

EDIT:  If I want to add relays to keep the juice out of the switches, where do I hook them up?
