Regretfully, I have sold by 1968 Dodge Charger RT! I wish I could say it was to buy a house or to start a family. I was recently diagnosed with a brain tumor. We have been managing it until recently. Some days are better than others. I have been tying up alot of loose ends for my wife and kids in case this doesnt turn out for the best. I would have loved to see my project to be completed but it went to a great home with promise. I am listing the few things I have left over on classifieds.

Thank you all for the great articles, heated discussions and arguments that kept me coming back. You are a great group of people with an enormous amount of knowledge and wisdom. I thank you for sharing that.

I never thought that I would be "the guy who got sick early". I hope that God's plan includes keeping me here to see my children grow up. Dont ever take anything for granted. When things get hard, realize that they could always be worse and that someone else is in a worse place than you. Its never as bad as you think. Stay positive. Have hope. Hug and kiss your wife and kids like it is going to be the last time you are going to see them. Dont let that last argument be the last one they remember. I am not going to go on any further. However, if I can add one last thing. No matter how old or young you are, make an attempt to collect all of your important insurance paperwork, deeds, titles, wills, power of attorneys, listing of outstanding debts with contact information, balances and account numbers, employer information for benefits coordination, and anything else you think is important in a case or bag for your spouse in the event that something ever happens to you. They would be lost without your direction. Leave a letter to explain it all. It may make you emotional or sound very morbid but leaving your loved ones with a plan will help them transition.

Thats all I have to say about that.

Again, thanks you all.

Yeah, Figures don't it? You try and be a good person and what do you get? A brain tumor. Yet, there's rapists that live to a ripe old age on the system. Sorry to hear this, as only the good folks seem to get the shaft. Here's hopin' you and yours have a long time left here with us...

A sobering reminder that life is a whole lot bigger than a car.  I wish you well.

Stay strong my friend and do stick around, we're still the same idiotic bunch and you don't need a Charger to enjoy our childplay.
Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.

It is amazing how an online community can bring together the Good times, the Bad times, and the ugly...   Sorry to hear about your current struggle, but sounds like you have a strong grasp on the situation and I wish you the best moving forward.
As others (I assume) I  joined this forum because of my project and love of the car, but certainly didn't expect to meet people from around the world and cover so many topics beyond "I can't find this bolt"....   It is a great connection.

As others have suggested, stay on the forum as an added sanctuary.   :2thumbs:

It's hard sometimes to put life into perspective, but I think you did quite well. Seems like a lot of times in life we have a tendency to forget the small things that really matter until something like this comes up. I work in the medical field dealing with cancer everyday. So if I was to offer any words of wisdom, they would simply be remember to stay positive. Remember to smile even though you don't feel like it, to laugh, and to love, and allow to be loved.  The human body is a very amazing and resilient machine. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Just remember the DC family is here always!

I will continue to read here. It keeps my mind off of things. I love seeing the pictures of progress. Ill continue to chime in from time to time and keep you updated on my status.

Thanks!

Well, that stinks. I've heard there's some new laser surgeries being done on tumors but not sure if this situation applies. Something to look into though. Don't lose hope. I've heard many stories about people who get through the worst things you can imagine. I'll be praying for your situation.

Sorry to hear it, and its sad that you didn't get to finish the car, but you have a good attitude and perspective about it.

Take care and I hope medical science comes up with something for you. :pity:
