I hope you don't mind, but I cleaned up your post so I can read it easier.  Did you happen to take it to an alignment shop and have the front end aligned?  I'd start there.

bobbyribby

yes i did  just  got it back yesterday  and the  guys  telling  me  it cuz of the  new  front end  parts

Hard Charger

sounds like the steering box has the adjustment to tight. back off the nut on top and turn the set-bolt counter clock wise a bit and re-tighten. test and readjust if needed. the steering wheel should rebound to straight if done properly.

OK thanks  ill try it , could the  alignment  bee  messed up even thought its  drive straight the  guy  had it  for a hole  day  and on my  other  cars  there done in a  hour thought it was  weird it took so long

Hard Charger

your description is definitely an issue from the lash adjustment in the box. when you described the problem of the steering wheel not righting itself. it may take a couple trys before you find the right feel. from time to time you will need to do this as the box wears.
I did my challenger last winter and the camber and toe where all messed up and I did not have any issue with the steering wheel righting itself.

I am changing the Charger,s front suspension now and it is going easier with the experience.

Might also be the bushings.
There are aftermarket offset upper control arm bushings that allow for more caster. There may not be enough now for the front wheels to track back properly.

FWIW, the front end also looks like it's sitting too low. Did the alignment shop mention anything about that? You might want to try cranking up the torsion bars a bit & re-checking the alignment.

Have you been reccruited by  "Mr. Grammer Police" stroker?  If so, he's taught you well.  :smilielol: :smilielol:

Do you have a print out of the specs they put under it? It may not necessarily be messed up, but they may have put the original specs  on it. With radial tires, you can use more aggressive settings than stock that will significantly imprve the feel of the car, one of which is the caster settings. Lck of positive caster can also influence return to center behaviour.
