Was watching Cheech and Chong up in smoke the other day from 78, and as they are driving around they pass a 69/70 but all you see is back end quickly!!  :2thumbs:

Old Moparz

I can't find any good photos online & I don't have the movie recorded, but I watched this one with my daughter when she was little, "Star Kid".

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0120478/

There is a scene towards the end where this robot (kid in a alien suit if I recall?) has a fight with someone in a junkyard. I do remember seeing a ton of Mopars in the junkyard & couldn't help wondering if it was a Mopar only yard, or the Mopar section in the yard. I'm almost sure there were Chargers, too.  :shruggy:

There is a second Charger in "Drive" with Ryan Gosling. It is in the parking lot of the garage he works at and if you look at the door/roof it really looks like it is a General Lee.

I just saw a 68 Charger in a recruitment ad for the armed forces...  Kids talking about what they wanted to do when they grow up.  Saw half a rear end for like 3 seconds.  Drove my wife nuts cuz I had to rewind to double check.  I was right!

There's an ABC News show on HLN called "What Would You Do". Anyway, I was watching an episode last week because they actually filmed it in my old hometown. It was cool seeing the old place on TV. About 13 minutes into the show, the picture below is what I see. That's my car! I almost fell off the chair. It was only on for a few seconds, but was still funny to see. I can't get a video of it anywhere online, but if you watch HLN and the episode about harassing elderly people comes on, you will see it. I had no idea they were filming, because all the cameras were hidden.

Chris do you realize you now have a TV car?  The value just doubled!   :icon_smile_big:

Was watching "The Net" (Sandra Bullock) yesterday and in one seen as they look up the block from her house, I cought just the back end of a parked red '66 or '67 charger.

(crap, now I have to watch it again to make sure...)

Rewatched it, it's between the 15 and 16 minute marks, as she is packing her car to leave, it's parked on the cross street over her right shoulder.

If you know when it aired, you can watch it on their web site, but it looks like they only have them from seasons 2,4,5 and 6.  :shruggy:   http://abc.go.com/watch/what-would-you-do/SH5555951

God must love stupid people; He made so many.

CaptMarvel

There's a scene in the first episode of The Partridge Family where their bus is cruising through Las Vegas and they are driving along side a white 68' for a while...

General Ryan

Dirty Harry has one parked on street just as they go into city hall, green 69. Very obvious and also, when he comes out of strip bar tailing Andy Robinson's charactor, u see a 69 on the street in front of camera, its night time, but u know the shape of these cars and the tail light's illumination give it away. Lastly, Magnum Force (Dirty Harry 2) at very very beginning, you see a red 69 coming at camera traveling up the hill (Opposite side to Harry's car).

I like the curiosity of where these background cars are today, what has happened to them?

Over the weekend I was watching the latest Herbie movie with my Nephew and when Lindsey is in the junkyard trying to find a car she sits in a crashed 1970 charger and pretends she's racing!!!   :2thumbs: :coolgleamA: The front bumper looks mint too!!!   :smilielol:
Also while my nephew showed me his room (with latest Lego build, he's 9) on his wall is a poster he won at school with a new charger and a 1970 charger!!!  :2thumbs:  Can't seem to load the picture from my phone but he's all excited since he knows we have a real one in our garage (and we are too) LOL
